eurovision just seems to stick to the same tried and tested genre- type- pattern, it churns out the same type of music year after year, that is the nature of eurovision. i dont think bob dylan or sting etc went on eurovision to tout their talent, eurovision is similar and draws comparisons to euro disney in the sense of its carnivalesque gaudiness even when compared to the mainstream 'pop' music industry, mainstream pop music would win the majority vote in popularity alone.
