Good places to stop en route to cornwall
3 Answers
We're going to Cornwall at the end of the month and reckon the journey will take around 6 hours. We have a three year old daughter and want to break the journey at least twice, maybe three times. Once we get past birmingham, where are the good places to stop for a break? We'd like to avoid the usual identikit motorway service areas.

It's very close to the M5 (just past Bristol), so it doesn't add any significant distance to your journey. There's a caf (and, of course, toilets) but, more importantly, your daughter will love it and (because it's worth spending some time there), you'll get a proper break from driving, rather than the short rest that most people take at service stations:

Have a look at one or two of these sites, they should be able to give you ideas of where are good places to stop.
