I don't think there's anything wrong in that?

I've seen far sillier "days of" and "week's of", in my opinion anything which promotes breastfeeding rather than bottlefeeding is a good thing.
they are all silly, Nothing wrong with breastfeeding but its the people that make a hoo ha out of it, like lesbians and gays having marches and things. Surely it just brings attention to it. If they want to be treated as normal act normal. We dont have straight marches I dont say everybody everybody I have a boyfriend.
i liked national kissing day, that was a good one ;-)
nowt wrong with the promotion of breastfeeding.

Much better than the stupid emails that go around for "kissing" or "steak and BJ" days.

Last month was pet micro-chipping month, another good promotion,
When can we have a national ' i know what i believe, don't need to wear it on my sleeve' week during which everybody just gets on with what they're doing without making a song and dance about it?
yer why promote it, you either want to breast feed or you dont
4GET Im not saying we have to have national BF week or anything. Just that if people want to have these special days and weeks Id rather see sensible ones :)

I bet you wont have any objections to international Steak & BJ day though next year will you dustypuss eh?

Well the rest of the year Legend it's either one of the other ya know! Times are hard (no pun intended) ya know ;-)

And worryingly I agree with you re your breastfeeding stance, not enough women (IMO) do this and I feel it's wrong.

Oh-and i suppose the blacks should not have marched in the 60's?.....extreme example maybe, but lesbians and gays just want equal treatment,AND to be able to celebrate what they are. Any minority wants that at some point. But if you are not part of that minority,it may be difficult to understand.
As for breastfeeding-anything that informs is not a bad thing. It helps to dispel ignorance.

but pasta surely they have been excepted now.
I know my gay mates wouldnt and shouldnt have to march
