Apart from cost and convenience of appointments, is there any difference between a vasectomy performed on the NHS at a local surgery and one done by a private clinic?

The NHS uses two bricks.
Truthfully, there is no difference at all.

this reminds me of when my first husband had his vasectomy at a private clinic. He was just signing the papers in an office when a nurse came in and opened a cupboard. On a shelf were 2 large blocks of wood.........the husband went deathly pale and I wet myself laughing.
daffy...that is what the NHS is there for and I am pleased that it worked for you and the family, however this is not always the case.

But the question was vasectomy private or NHS and we have both given our posts.
I had mine done at a local health centre
they do the nip - piles (I can't spell hemorrhoids)
and a couple of other bits and bobs ... local anesthetic - chatting to nurse about her daughter's birthday party (all very zen)

it all took 30 mins - and I was driving home .... bit tender when anesthetic wore off - but not enough to stop me trying out the new "tackle" that evening

nice bloke who did it (must had been a speciallist - wore a bow tie I suppose it was a bit of advertising - (having a dickie round his neck!))

I think he was russian - Mr Ivor ******************
AC...LOL....did it work?
