making a call through internet

please i would like you to teach me how to make a call through internet and what to install in my pc further more i use XP window and am a starter i dont know how to use this technology at all,

Skype is extremely easy to use and has tons of people already there with access to support forums and lots of getting started guides.

As stated on the previous answer, Skype is really a good way.
Log on to www.skype.com and download the application. It is free and works.
You just need to buy headphones with microphone for PC.
Then invite your friends to do the same. You can do it through Skype.
Better if you have a broadband access (ADSL or Cable).

You can also also try VoIP like RingCentral services to make call via internet. No installation needed, you only need to subcribe their services and make calls instantly via internet.
