Paracetamol may also be useful ( Not an NSAID) but may be taken in tablet form.Ethel is quite right, do you mean "all over" or do ypou mean many joints involved? Is this a long standing problem or indeed of recent onset.
It might be worth getting in checked out. I am arthritic (osteo) but also border line Rheumatoid. I have the same problem as you which at the moment is really bad. This cold damp weather makes it very much worse.
Other than suggesting you see your GP for some tests (if you haven't been lately) then all I can say is book yourself a long holiday in the sun ;o).

actually, achey and sore muscles and joints are a symptom of menopause, they come in at about number 16 of the 35 documented and recognised symptoms.
i too found that glucosamine didn't do a thing and i have paracetamol and co-codamol on prescription for when i need it. touch wood, at the moment my aches and pains aren't too bad. sorry not to be of more help.

It might be worth getting checked over for anything like arthritis or wear and tear so you can try some preventative measures and therapy so help it and reduce any worsening.
I get very achey as I have arthritis. I'm on drugs for it but also see an osteopath who is fanastic at loosening up tightness and problem areas and fixing things which make pain and discomfort worse (have pesky ribs which pop out of place).
They can also suggest exercises and give other advice and I've been taking a lot more notice of posture and now use special cushions to help me sit better and try to avoid slouching on the sofa and such at home.

Me too but trouble is so many of the things I used to love doing are not very wise or possible with arthritis and menieres like rockclimbing and horseriding.
I took my ex skiing and climbing for his birthday and it frustrated me much how much I struggle now.
I need to find more suitable exercise based hobbies :)
Depending on which joints are playing up gentle walking can be good, just stick my stereo on and wander.
I was chatting to a client's wife with arthritis yesterday and she walks 5/6 miles a week somewhere pretty and says it does her the world of good.

Get yourself to the doctor .I was exactly the same .Had an early menopause due to a hysterectomy at 39 . Felt fine for several years and when I hit 50...bang ..down I went like a ton of bricks with rheumaotoid arthritis .This burnt itself out after a while but left me with severe osteoarthritis, which gets progessivley worse and recurring bouts of this horrible rheumatic thing which leave me feeling debiltiated and any old how for days on end .Aching hips and aching anywhere I have a bone or joint .Even my arse aches :)) I have had so many drugs to try and ease it I have rattled . Nip it in the bud if you can but unfortunately there is no cure for these things if this is what you have . Just cocktails of drugs etc which at the end of the day make you feel worse .
Self help is my motto .
A simple blood test will tell .
I hope it isn't anything untoward but do see your doctor to rule out any underlying causes for this pain and hope you soon feel better .
