Anyway I was told to bath a stye with water as hot as you can stand on a flannel. It is supposed to draw the infection out. Havn't had one for years now.

Yes I believe that EDDIE is right, bathe it with water as hot as possible, and then it should release the puss!, then just keep the area clean........

Rub it with a wedding ring, apparently, but I'd prefer the hot compress and seriously if you use a hot teabag as a compress that will help.

LOL....I am not laughing at your post hollie, but of the others......it is Menorca actually........LOL

Pain relief is the important thing e.g Ibuprofen 400mgms as and when necessary for the relief of your pain. up tp every 6 hours.

I agree with the compresses but go easy on the temperature.......don't make it too hot.

It will be gone by the weekend.

Thanks Sqad. Where in menorca do you live? I stayed at the calla galdana hotel a couple of years ago. It was scorching all week.

Our family remedy for styes was always 'Golden Eye Ointment'. Don't know if you can still get it.
