Now bearing in mind that I am a single parent and a student, is it ok that I have done a lot of my christmas shopping on e-bay??
All the stuff I bought is boxed (and most of it says it is new) Do you think I'm being a bit tight?
Please reassure me, lol would any of you mind?

No you're not tight (bless you for thinking that xxx) if its boxed and looks new, how are they gonna tell the difference?

And usually any present are greatfully recieved, unless its nostril hair removers!

note to self - send back B00's present
That's ok buttons, i got you a packet of tanna lady n support stockings...........teehee ;-)
No you're not tight. A word of advice though - check in the bottom of boxes, even underneath the flaps for gift tags. People sometimes sell things that were duplicate wedding presents and forget to take out the card that had been popped inside to remind them who bought what.
Hey BOO you should have put those in our brantub!

Will do that Robinia, cheers
They already there Robinia....another beauty of Ebay.......bulk buying ;-)
Of course you're not being tight. You're being extremely sensible and handling your finances well. If a lot of other people were as sensible about their Christmas spending as you, it would save a great deal of pain in January when the credit card statements start arriving and people find they don't have the money available to pay them.

Thanks Wendy, I don't like christmas being ruined because of money worries. It shouldn't be about that should it?
hello mycatis, the fact that you have even bought pressies for anyone is lovely and kind, you sound like a lovely person, if anyone pulls there face stick a cracker up their bottom, i hope you and yours have a lovely time merry xmas to you my dear xxx

Don't worry, I've done the same with my son's presents. He is only 18 months old, will get loads of big pressies from grandparents and other family so I have got him a few little things from ebay, puzzles, dressing gown, books etc. He won't know or care where they are from and it means I will have a bit more cash to spend on him in other ways, days out etc.

I've also bought a lot of his clothes and shoes from ebay too, can't resist a bargain!

hey retrogirl, someone might enjoy having a cracker stuck up there!!!
