Hi I am now fed up with christmas shopping! got all my christmas food today except for fresh veg and fruit. I would like to buy it tomorrow (wed) but have a feeling it might go off by christmas. So if I do get it tomorrow, any ideas where I can store it (no rude ones please) to keep it fresh? There must be some good cooks out there with there ideas. Thanks

Just make sure it is not over ripe when you buy it and it should be fine in the vegetable drawer of your fridge! My parents shop once a fortnight and often the veg is over a week old, but as long as it is well selected, it will be fine!
Keep the veg in a cool garage, or if you don't have one, outside the house wrapped in newspaper inside a polythene bag . This time of year the garden is a pretty effective fridge. If you have a plastic cool box, put that outside and store the veggies and fruit in it.
Bottom of the fridge, or as WendyS said if you don't have space, keep it in another cold area.
