o2 signal

i like the look of an o2 phone contract deal but ive heard they arent very good. ive heard that signal is often not very good, anyone on o2 and got anything good or bad to say to persuade me either way? i dont want to get the contract and phone then realise i never have signal hardly.

I live right on the coast which is typically a difficult area to get reception. I was with Orange for the last 7 years (and I had occasional trouble). I have been on 02 for the last 2 months (I went with them as I got offered a better tarriff / phone deal which Orange would not match).

I will say that I have had no problems with them.

Hi, I've been with o2 for a couple of years and have never had any signal problems.

o2 were always ok - virgin use T-Mobile transmitters so if you have signal issues with one you will have them with the other too! that said, I'm with virgin now in in the north west and have had no problems.

I live in Berkshire and have been with Orange and Vodaphone previously, now with O2. Best reception and lowest bills I've ever had, even though I use my phone more these days. I would definitely recommend O2, as a light user - evening/weekend calls and texts.

I was with Orange for years and years and realised i could get a better choice of phone with O2 so i went with them about 6 months ago. I have never had any signal problems with O2 but i do feel the deal i got in the end for texts and calls was not really what i was after. I was told that after 6 months i would be able to up my texts and lower my minutes but i get the feeling that isnt going to happen. O2 were usless when my moblie broke down. It was down for just over a week and they couldnt even sort me out with a replacement. I asked for help another time to figure out how to save whole phone details on my sim card and they couldnt even tell me that! Ive since figured it out myself but it wont save email addresses or photos if i save to sim. Anyway, my advice is if you do go with O2 and they mention chequeback, be wary. I think if i hadnt have pushed and pushed for my chequeback i wouldnt have gotten it. They seemed to hope i would give up on it and they would keep the money they promised me back.

I live in the north east of Scotland and our son goes hill climbing etc ...with an o2 phone.... and I've always managed to get him when and if needed...maybe I was lucky, but all our family have tried various phones over the past 10 years or so and we have all come back to good old reliable o2. Like somebody said before..it used to be Cellnet BT so the coverage is bound to be the widest. There will be blanks of course, but on the whole I would say o2 are the best. Why not do Pay and Go with it for a while until you have reassured yourself? Again the deals are very good with "rewards" and offers you can hardly refuse!!
