Have I Got A Virus ?

Hi,
I've been unable to login to my online bank over the weekend, just an error saying "technical difficulties", although each time I retried it kept wanting the same digits of my password, ie. 4th, 5th & 1st - that's not right. Realised today the service was actually ok so tried with the card reader rather than "memorable data" & that was fine. Still can't login using "memorable data", wants same digits.
Today I've tried to login to my credit card online & that's not recognising any of my details either - card number, ID number, passcode or memorable word (latter, again it's asking for same characters each attempt, 2nd & 7th), says it can't confirm my identity.
I KNOW the details I'm putting in are right, & I KNOW that wanting the same characters at each attempt is NOT right - so have I got a virus ? Nortens hasn't alerted me to anything.

Has your bank got a phone number? Might be worth trying to reach them that way, and checking that everything is OK.
Is it barclays ??? I had message to say they were working on web site...

It's not the bank bookbinder, reckon it's my PC. I got in ok using the card reader but can't get into 2 completely different sites using any memorable data.
Try doing a full security scan.

The credit card's Barclaycard murraymints, but not the bank. I haven't had that message though ... wonder if I AM worrying over nothing after all but does seem bit of a coincidence ...

Running a scan now, bookbinder ... ;)
Is it an issue with your keyboard- try typing some numbers on here.
I've had the same trouble with Lloyds TSB since Thursday- says they're doing maintenance on the site.
to be safe you should always use yuour card reader to log on
I've had a similar situation where my entry wasn't accepted. I put it down to the financial institutions server screwing up. Failed 3 times and got them to send me new details. I'd doubt it's a virus. Even a scammer trying to get your number wouldn't alert you by asking multiple times. But you can always opt to scan for peace of mind.
with lloyds, if you fail to put the right numbers in, on subsequent attempts, they ask you for the same numbers

Finally sussed ! :)

Not keyboard, not maintenance ... turned out was IE. I use that as my default but after the guy at Barclaycard getting narked 'cos he couldn't see my failed attempts & admitted he didn't have a clue but had asked me to delete history & cookies anyway, asked if I had another browser. Well I use Google Chrome for Facebook so tried it from there - was fine ! Then tried to login to the bank - that was fine too !! Seems more & more sites are becoming incompatible with IE ...
But thanks for all your suggestions, appreciated :)
for the 1st time i have downloaded firefox, so much better & faster then IE....

I might have a look at that sometime, chas. Chrome seems very basic & I only ever installed it to avoid having to use the timeline on Facebook. That doesn't seem to be the case any more, so I don't need it.
