Venice Restaurant Recommendations Please

just booked a few days in Venice and wondered if anyone could recommend a reasonably priced restaurant in the centre of Venice island

The problem with places such as Venice is that they change so rapidly.
Options are: Tripadvisor or ask at reception in your hotel for recommendations, and stay away from the on-the-canal spots. I know this is difficult but in those restaurants people are paying for the view. Take your time and get a feel for the place on the first night, and then head for anywhere where you can hear lots of Italian voices. Not infallible but a good start.

thanks JennyKenny for your input have been warned hotel receptions are usually on back handers from local restaurants so not always a good option,but will try tripadvisor

Torrefazione Marchi, Rio Tera San Leonardo - family run café for coffee.

Antico Forno for Pizzas - close to Ruga Rialto

Enoteca Ai Artisti for dinner, Fondamenta della Toletta Dorsoduro, tiny place and great food. About 25 upwards......

we had a nice pizza for lunch at a little open-air place down an alley on the southwest side of the Accademia bridge, right on the water's edge. Good view of the palazzi across the water and it wasn't particularly expensive. That was five years ago and things may have changed. I can see it on Google Canal View but can't see its name.

Venture into the Hotel Cipriani for a gander if not a drink at the Fortuny Bar or late night in Piano Bar.....
