My mum has spilled whiskey on her mahogany unit when she was pouring herself a drink (personally i think she must have poured a few more beforehand which caused her to spill it bless her), anyway, its taken the colour out of the wood. Its highly polished. Does anyone know of any solutions to make it a little less noticeable or better still, get rid of it all together? All suggestions would be appreciated, thanks

Has the polish bloomed? (gone white) I have successfully used a 'miracle cloth' from Lakeland on a watermark and a high heat bloom on Mahogany furniture. It's under a fiver, for sure, and is impregnated with Lemon Oil I was sceptical but it worked, brilliant at restoring blackened brass too!
I seem to remember that cigar/gigarette ash made into a paste is a traditional remedy for stains on woods.
