iPods

Can anyone give me any advice about iPods e.g are they any good? Is any one type better than another? Do you use them a lot?

I have recently exceeded on my itunes the number of tracks that my mini ipod can hold and now when I connect it up to the computer, it culls my songs for me and only puts a selection onto my ipod...
