permission to repair

there is a wall in between my neighbours house and mine, this wall needs to be repaired, do i have the right to go round his side (onto his path) to do this properly, although i would of course ask...

dry fruit cake

Ideas please to use up some fruit cake thats gone a bit dry, i should'nt have made such a big one, force of habit when you have been feeding a family for years, then there's just two.

Found a great way to recycle the jars with pop-up tops eg Lloyd Grossmans, etc if you sterilise them in the dishwasher, or with boiling water, along with the lids. Then fill the jar up to the top...
