'Hanging' sites.

I have a laptop connected to my main PC by ethernet cable. Have no trouble loading AB, but most other sites take forever, if at all. They just seem to'hang'. Any ideas anyone?

Movie format

Just bought a DVD rewriter. I have a few movies on my PC in .avi format. What format do I need, to play DVDs in normal DVD player and what do I need to convert the .avi files?

Spices in cooking

Epson C64 printer

Keep getting horizontal banding. Nozzle check shows Black cartridge at fault. Head Clean corrects it for a few pages, then it starts again. Have changed cartridge, have uninstalled then re-installed...

Disappearing drives

Both my CDRW and DVD drives have disappeared. Windows says that device drivers are correctly installed but can't locate the devices. Have changed the cable, uninstalled secondary controller, rebooted...

Epson Stylus 600 Printer

Printer has 1 Black and 1x3 colour cartridge. All colours working except yellow. Have changed cartridge and run cleaning process umpteen times, but still no yellow. Many thanks to all who can help.
