weird phone numbers

Had a couple of telephone calls recently(one at 6a.m)but when I answered no ne spoke and they hung up.The numbers are not the usual dialling codes for u.k or even foreign codes.They began with 06309...

xmas comes too early

I am already a bit jaded by it all..we have had jingle bells in shops up here since early October...I do not think it should be allowed 'till December..any thoughts ?

Measurements

In my cross stitcher's magazine I am given the fabric I need in centimetres and the picture frame in inches. Is there any special reason for using both these measurements and not just one type?...

thin white line across the top of picture tube

Can anybody tell me why I have a bright thin white line across the top of my picture tube. My TV is about 10 years old, maybe older. Thanks for any answers....
