Our cat Rover is missing....
... he escaped from his cage on the way back from the vets this evening. OH and I have spent six hours combing the thick hedges, to no avail. He's either lying very low or has legged it (and is hopefully doing the Incredible Journey and finding his way back home..) - we are sad. We're going back up there first thing in the morning.

He doesn't like being handled by people he doesn't know (I suspect it's something to do with his history before he came to us, he's scared of men's boots, and binliners, and fluorescent jackets). I'll just be grateful if people report sightings of him (as those two did on Saturday). I know what you mean though - but for the time being I am not doing any more, we can't possible paper the whole town, just hoping he's OK.
