Does anyone happen to know what kind of moth this is please, without my having to trawl through hundreds of pics?
here
It's not really vital that I find out, I'm just curious. Maybe it's something really common...and no, it didn't fly out of my purse. :o)

Hi swedie, glad to see you!!

Have had a horrendous night and day, thanks to daughter, she went out for a meal last night with my car, and kept texting and saying she'd be home at 12, 3, 5 6 and 7 and then at 9.30 said she was going to crash in a friends pad and sleep. So we needed the car this am, and she said ( hiccupedly) where it was parked. Well, we went there this am at 10am and no car, so we went round and round still no car, and she wasn't answering her phone. I then became so worried about her, Mr N was worried about the car. He stayed at home all day so that he could take me in his van to collect car and / or her, as he was convinced she would be incapable of driving, she called at 14.30 nd we rushed to collect her and car and she was absolutely fine, but Mr N is foaming at the mouth and has forbidden her to ever use my car again, min you, he does like having something to moan about, and as I am practically a stepford wife, there's nowt wrong with me! My back is very sore and itchy (which I think is good) have to go to A&E tomorrow to dress it. Am shattered and now taking it wasy as long as Mr N doesn't start again!!!!
and apart from all that, I hope everyone else is fine and feeling better, or as good as can be expected.

A'noon all...it's been a lovely day but it feels very late in the day. It's going to feel this late an hour earlier tomorrow (if you know what I mean) ...<sigh>

Hi Sweedie, hope you're not too weary. I just love the ring - I found the website for it, converted the price and thought you must have been busking on your travels around town. Then I realised I'd converted the price of the gold option, haha. Have a good long rest.

Slow down neti, I know how relieved you must be that she was ok but I'm with Mr N. Put her on housework duties for a month & tell her we'll be over there to teach her a thing or two.

Oh I've no doubt you do! I apologise for neglecting to declare my street address, Headmistress, but I'm pretty sure you've already found it http://i53.tinypic.com/vr8v43.jpg

In fact, that's why I decided to have my building wrapped in plastic.

;-)
(PS biddies that's not where I live, that's just a funny piccy.)
whoo, have managed to spend £58 in Tescos... they sent me vouchers for £8 off in every £40, one each week for the next month, and that's a pretty good discount, so I had to do it. But I also needed to make it £50 to collect a petrol voucher, only of course when I got to £50 it came back to £42, so I had to get another expensive bottle of wine to make up the total. It's expensive work saving up this much money. I don't suppose I will really need next week's one as well so I'll just give it away to the poor.

Don't blame you for wrapping the house up, Kit, but can't you make it arty?

Yay, daughter has flown to Barcelona to celebrate Halloween with her friends. I have done a quick "Henry" and put on the washing, all back to normal! My back it driving me crazy so sore and itchy, maybe it's the plaster, and it'll get changed tomorrow. I did have a bath but very small one and did not get back wet!
Kit that ring is divine..You deserve it too, maybe the rings jingling will scare the workmen into working faster. Neti I am with Mr N, Hija needs a stern talking to and community service. Well we did lounge around today..I started doing declutter and actually got on quite well then a mate of DH's dropped round so I stopped to serve tea and have a good natter...DH chugging along nicely, he is starting to make noises about going for a trial run on the motorbike...I can trust him to be sensible about this because, many years ago he fell of a bike when he skidded on cow poo and dislocated a collar bone. I told him then that if he ever injured himself on a bike again, I would go out and buy a sledgehammer and destroy the bike. he knows me and when i mean things...its like puppy training, you need to make the consequence of an action clear and they need to trust you so that they KNOW the consequence will happen and the job is done...of course with puppies, its "sit and I will give you this treat" not "screw up and I will destroy your beloved motorbike" but the theory is the same :-)
since going TT its getting hard to spend in tesco, ours has the 25% off any six bottles atm. I usually stock up for chrissy but Its likely to be a dryish one this year and we are well stocked as it is.
Woofy, come and train mi hija!!
Hi all good to hear you all chatting about this and that.. Your back must be a pain (ooops pardon the pun) Neti. Just think how good it will feel when you can have a real soak in the bath. I'm still suffering in my nethers and have had s salt bath today.
Woofy Mr.W's accident reminded me of my accident. My husband and me used to go to Worcester to fetch rough cider (4d a pint direct from a farm ) and we used to go on the Featherbed Norton (Ask Mr. H) and on the back we had bottles for the cider. any way we got to Tewkesbury roundabout and the back wheel skidded in some oil and we when over and slid off. The back slid away across the road my husband went one way and me the other. I got up and ran over to him and he said "are the bottles ok"' And that was on the way there not coming back !! We were both ok. It was just a graceful slide. The only damage was my foot rest came off so I had to come all the way back to Derby dangling a leg.Ha Ha!

Good to see you Kit. Keep battling on. Haven't they given any idea when it will be done (or have you told us that and I've forgotten).
Correcftions:-
* We went over
* a salt bath
* The Bike slid

These blinking you know whats!!
Yup you've forgotten Jude:) they've said it will be at the very least one more month, so that sounds like a month and a half to me, and they said it a week ago. (Confused yet, ha ha.) Alas it wasn't Christo & Jeanne-Claude who did my wrapping, jno:) Had it at least been bubble wrap...

Okay Woofy after reading your motorbike slash sledgehammer post I've got you a new avatar (wait for the animation) http://i51.tinypic.com/qxtbbd.gif I totally admire your philosophy though: Say it and mean it. Speaking of men... dogs... er, I'm confused now;-) I had joined Cesar Millan's FB page but he encouraged dressing your dog up for Halloween and sending the photos to a particular Flickr group, at which point I "unjoined" the fan page. It's probably not him personally but his staff, but still, what kind of staff does he keep...

So, what about that Chaplin time traveller, did you see the footage? Kudos to the Belfast guy for promoting his production company so successfully - I don't believe he believes in his own time travelling theory. But apart from that, what IS the woman doing do you think? I think she's just a biddy hiding her face from the camera - only to go viral on YouTube a century later and being accused of being a man in drag... poor biddy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6a4T2tJaSU
Did you both remember to turn off the petrol switch? That was the first thing I was taught when I had a Triumph tiger cub, boyfriend had a norton 1,000 (side head valve) and a velocete 350 (ask the men!)
Hi Just been watching telly for a bit. Saw Merlin earlier Ithink it's a really good programme and the special effects are brilliant.
Going to watch the footie in a bit. Come on you Rams!! they won 4 - 1 today.

Neti the last time i was on a motorbike was about 1991/2. I was on a Honda 1000 touring bike and went to the North West 200 motor bike races in Ireland. The last time I saw Joey Dunlop racing. A good weekend.

Have a good night all, keep well. Don't forget your clocks in England go back tonight.

See yer later 'gater(s)
yikes, yes, the clocks, I completely forgot!
When we were younger we had a Bonneville...came off it twice, once on a newly gravelled road, once on grass in a campsite and yes, first thing you do is turn off the petrol or it floods out everywhere.
More bloody fireworks last night, the dogs tranquiiliser dose wore off, so no sleep till 1am new time, then darling Shughy rolled in poo this morning...isn't it funny how its not the big things that are the last straw?
oh well we are going to hit m and S today for their dine in deal then i have a speccy appointment, well overdue and i think I need a new prescription :-(
Neti stop scratching!!
wow, pretty busy for a Sunday, woofgang, especially a dark winter one. Dunno what I'm going to do but the word 'loll' comes to mind.
Morning all. Last day of the tourists, although I suspect they have all gone by now. Wet, dark lovely day. Have been to have my dressing changed, told off for not getting it done yesterday, and Mr N has to do it mañana, or I have to go back to Urgencias, but it's healing well. The platic was really itching so they have put sticky eye-pads instead, No not iphones, or ipads or i i anything jno!!!!

Have been clearing up the side of the villa, such a load of crap which we never got around to binning, but it's done now, I am washed and clean. Lovely day so far! Mr n of course is sitting on his botty watching telly and doing rock all but as long as he takes me out to lunch I'll say nothing!

Do hope mr s and DH are coping and feeling OK. x

AND darling Charlie, hope he is in fine fettle! x
