Does anyone happen to know what kind of moth this is please, without my having to trawl through hundreds of pics?

It's not really vital that I find out, I'm just curious. Maybe it's something really common...and no, it didn't fly out of my purse. :o)

Yesterday we went to the garden centre with the beast cafe and bought a callicarpa. the berries are even bluer than the pics here, a really stunning colour.

we went to Westonbirt the other day, woofgang... gorgeous acers all over... and we were looking at a callicarpa in the shop, but couldn't quite figure out where it would go so we didn't buy one.
Funny thing, I know they're blue but they actually look quite pink to me - somehow they're bluer when they have leaves behind them, pinker when they don't. Something optical I suppose. In fact something to do with my personal optics, most likely. They're very striking whatever colour I think they are.

Morning . I am back off to bed. Bug has got worse. Up most of the night and now can't swallow - one side of my throat feels as if it has sandpapered!. Head aches and eyes hurt. Limbs ache. Not flu as it has been coming on for days and flu is much worse and hits suddenly. Have had to cancel Mr LL's birthday meal tonight in Holt.
Lottie is not a happy bunny.
Lovely shrub Woofie. Those berries are extraordinary.
See you soon folk. Hope all of you have a good weekend and that those menfolk are behaving themselves and doing what nurse tells them!

Morning all... grey day but mild here
It's not my hair that needs arranging in the morning ...its a much bigger job...

Lottie that sounds like the cold I had recently, it threatened for ages & then wham, it hit. Intravenous buttercup syrup is what you need. Get well soon!
Hope everyone else is toddling along well.
Jno I'm speechless, you wouldn't get that sort of treatment in Skeggy. :o) If I had any type of holiday booked for the Maldives....(the words cat and hell spring to mind)... I'd cancel it.
Well the cat lick was just the thing Kit, Charlie's pretty much back to as normal as he ever is. I wouldn't have believed it on Tues, what a trooper. Just a slight wobble now and then but he is nearly 98 you know! We've been back for his follow up appt this morning & she said he'd done very well. Lowering the steroid dose (thank goodness), more anti-biotics but he'll continue with the vivitonin for a long time. I need a new wrist now with all this lifting & supporting, it's so painful.
Two yrs today since I lost my lovely bro, but I won't post anything sad...

ooh Lottie, poor you...stay warm and drink loads of warm drinks.
That's great news about Chas. My old girl we had before the boys was on vivitonin for the last year of her life. It cost a bit but certainly did wonders for her quality of life.
All chugging here, the day is grey but mild...a good autumn day.

It's very autumnal, the leaves are falling fast & can see sky through my cherry tree. Did any one see Autumn watch unsprung last night I love it? The whooper swan was hilarious. If it comes on youtube I'll post it for you Kit, I don't think you can see BBC Iplayer can you?

Hello, ( a very weak and frail neti logs in)
Well done Charlie and Robi. It must be awful to lose a bro or sis, I haven't done as yet. xx
Have been to doctors to have my mole removed, he's dug right down and I've got stitches, have to go to A&E every day to have it dressed, what a fuss, I thought he'd just slice it off. i was covered in green paper thingy face down on the bed and my boobs were almost suffocating me, that was the awful part, there was nowhere for them to go but up my nose. If I could have taken the bra off then they would have settled either side of the bod. he doesn't want me to drive for a couple of days but I have to go to airport tomorrow anyway! Am off to play the invalid for an hour with cuppa and bed!

Oh dear Neti .I hope you soon feel better. Looks as if we've all been on medical mystery tours today either animal or human . I'm glad Charlie is feeling better Robina .
I spent from quarter to eight until half one at the hospital watching men drink jugs of water and then all go off to the lav and piddle in a jug .The only poor bugger who couldn't piddle was my old man .
He's got to have another prostate operation but they can't do it for three months because of the DVT treatment .So he's still got a catheter and he's not a happy chappie
Back in four weeks for more piddle tests . Still jabbing him daily with a needle and a daily blood test but his nether regions don't need dressing daily anymore which is something I suppose .
Dull dreary day here and very cold with the east wind blasting straight in from Siberia by the feel of it .
I hope you are all fair to middling ( or should that be piddling:) and that your cold soon clears up Lofty .I dread getting a cold .It's the last thing I need .....says she swallowing down VitsB, D and Zinc by the handful .
Fish and chips for dinner .I can't be bothered to cook .hahaa..take care all ..see you later .

Oh sorry Lottie, I didn't mean to ignore your ailments, hope you are all snug and warm in your bed and feeling better! x
Oh dear piddle tests, poor mr s. We have to drink tea when they want piddle as it goes through quicker apparently.
My back is now feeling very tight, and I am going to have a bath even tho doc said not, but I won't get the huge, serious, gaping crater on my back , wet (actually can't see it but it's probabaly quite small!) Will play on it until Mr N can actually see there's not much there, ooh,, ahh the pain! that sort of thing!!
I don't want to cook either but no luxury of fish n' chips or take~away for us now as the season has all but finished with a few straggling tourist waiting to fly home. Hope Mr N will accept maccaroni cheese! don't want daughter to cook as she's going out and anyway I'm too tired to clear up after her, even though she thinks she tidies up!!
Cooeee (as mum mum used to call out) swedie, hope you are still with us and Ok. Chin up pet.

Afternoon each.
Shaney keep you chin up you're doing a grand job.I feel for Mr. S. I bet he's fed up with it all but just think all the cancer has been removed.
Neti Iwont say don't be mardy cos I'm a whittle a**e. but just do as you're told and you'll get better quicker.
Lottie stay wrapped up in bed and drink plenty I know that defeats the object in one way cos you'll have to get out to p but you know what I mean. Keep warm and get better soon.
Robi at least the weather has been on my side and stayed dry and mild, I've been to town 3 times in 2 days about my specs. At last this afternoon they have conceded to give me new lenses with the prescription being moved up 3 mm. so that when they are on comfortably I will be able to see instead of having to hold them in position to read etc. They have had to order them so I know have to wait for them to be delivered.
Also Robi do you take the DET cos there's a piece on my cousin today( the one who died) . He was called H and it says Death of a war vet who was proud to say that he had never been unemployed.
Good to hear Charlie is on the mend now. You keep well too.
That Maldives story is a bit gruesome Jno. That's one place I wont be going.
Going to look on the internet for a DVD now of Elvis Presley recommended to me by a friend. Called 'That's The way It Is.' NJot the firend the DVD :o)
See yer later 'gater(s)

Hello again.
I have arisen from my bed and am making chicken stock as the basis of tonight's veggie soup. Bah humbug - we should have been going out and eating lovely things.
One side of my throat hurts so much it makes me wince. I can't stop coughing (tickly throat cough and my head is ready to explode.
I am so pleased to read about Charlie, Robi. He sounds a lovely little character. I bet you are relieved to see such an improvement.
Dogs and Hubbies - what anguish they cause us.
Oh Shaney, does that mean three months with that damn catheter for Mr S. Poor man. He must feel so depressed and longing for the day when he doesn't have to be prodded and poked about. Give him a hug from me (even though he doesn't know me!!) You are both doing so very well and you deserve a medal.
http://images.clipart...Gifts-And-Sausage.jpg
(same goes for our Woofie of course - hope Mr Woof is continuing to improve daily)
Neti, you deserve a medal as well to have all that mole digging around in your back.
http://covers.loverea...200/9781405089456.jpg
(Reading last night's chatterbank was as good as a humerous novel!!)
Off now to clear the kitchen, have a shower and try to make myself feel a bit human.
Thank you all for your good wishes. They make me feel loads better.
xxxxxx

Aaaaaaaaaaaaargh ...stamps feet and bangs head on wall.
" DVT clinic here "
"Hello "
" We can't give you todays warfarin dosage because you handed in the wrong form "
"But it's all the same blood,"
"Not without the form it isn't "
"What happens now then "
"We'll start from scratch again on Monday and you'll have to collect some more injections "
I give up ...I've been and got the chish and fips and we've eaten them and I also bought half a bottle of scotch and I'm gonna inject it in large doses into my gullet :0)

It's ridiculous Jude
.Surely they could have just tested the blood sample .
Or is the blood different in various parts of his body .The form had DVT stamped all over it in huge letters .Surely it wouldn't haven't taken them a minute to just look him up on the computer .
I've got that many forms and bits of paper kicking around here .Booklets for this ,that and the other . I tried to get him into the doctors for the daily test but they're full up with flu jabs and there is no way he can hike up to Pathology on the bus every day .
My bro has been a darling but he's got appointments next week himself at the Norfolk and Norwich .
When the district nurse comes tomorrow I'm going to have to insist they come in each day early to take the blood .
I hate being pushy but I'm going to have to be :)

very sorry to hear so many aches and pains among loved ones. I don't suppose stepping into November is going to help, either. My only personal pain today was getting the medical bills for stuff my insurance doesn't cover. I shall have to be more careful about seeing consultants in future, though I actually use the insurance very sparingly.
I got an email from paypal today which for some reason had this helpful illustration, which you might like to stick onto your fridge door to encourage you
