Does anyone happen to know what kind of moth this is please, without my having to trawl through hundreds of pics?
here
It's not really vital that I find out, I'm just curious. Maybe it's something really common...and no, it didn't fly out of my purse. :o)

lol jno, I just nearly snorted coffee on my keyboard...its very windy here this morning...I am blaming it on the dogs.
DH has got an 8.30 appointment this morning for a dressing change...the receptionist who booked the appointment he should have had yesterday can't read 24 hour clock. She booked him in for 13.50 and told him 3.50. When he got there they apologised profusely and said to wait and the nurse would fit him in but she forgot and went home honestly I despair. He sat in the chilly waiting room for too long and got thoroughly cold and low blood sugared and then wouldn't eat which is what he has always done when he gets too hungry because he is an idiot...I thought he was heading for another infection. anyway I got a hot drink, some toast and a crunchie down him and he turned back from blue to pink...no wonder my tum played up.
anyway nearly all sorted, just got to get him out of bed 2 hours before the usual time (he is sleeping for England at the mo)
laters all
Ha ha jno, forking? I've forgotten all about that!!!!

Good morning all biddies.

Woofy I didn't realise that DH needed dressings changed, oh dear, when will it end? Still he's doing very well isn't he? Sleep is good.

Hope mr s is ok shaney and improving daily.

Hi jude, vinny, robi, dolly, and poor swedie living in such chaos, and in one room, would do my head it that! All that banging and crashing and dust!

Am off to do some meat shopping and some illicit English food shopping from English food shop (where else) as am fed up with not having pickled onions!!!

morning all...well thanks for the laugh jno, I needed that...it's off to the <whispers> doggy doc for us in a while. Charlie still having wobblies & it upsets him. I have a feeling it could be an ear prob, he's scratching one side. Hope that's all it is but they'd need a scan to see any further. I hate this more than he does, he's a bit upset but I think he's picking up my agitation.
where's my rescue remedy? can you OD on it?
Morning All. (oops phone ringing back in a mo Another lunch out just arranged on Nov. 18th would you believe.) Just nipped in to say hello and thanks for the laugh too Jno.Cheered me up as it's a bit of a dull day today.
Keep going Woofy and Shaney you are doing a grand job looking after DH and Mr S. I'm sure your are loved and appreciated.
Robi you take care too looking after your Charlie.
And the rest of you have a good day. Lottie, Neti, Dolly,Vinny. And finally Kit, (It must be hell for you, I can't imagine)

Later 'gater(s)
LOL at jno. Love it.

Poor Mr Woofy. Glad he is now OK though.

Robi, Meggie had some wobbles a few months back. She was ear scratching one side too. A couple of times she fell sideways and then fell over when trying to jump on a low wall. It upset her. Took her to the vet who could find nothing wrong at all, but I wondered if she had got a grass seed in her ear or something.

All the best for little Charlie Boy. (I had an old uncle Charlie who was always known as Charlie Boy!!)

Off out shortly to meet my friend. See you later.

http://4.bp.blogspot....laying_in_a_chair.png we're back...

One of Charlie's ears is red (deep) inside, I had looked but couldn't see that far, & when she put the 'scope inside he went mad to scratch so they're treating him for that to start off with. He did behave oddly with the eye flicking & wobbly legs while we were there so at least they got to witness it. Hopefully that will sort him out, it's a try it and see. They've given him some steroids too...oh lordy, he'll be shifting the furniture round in the night.
I think I need the recovery room.

Reading your posts I think we all do...that was a stupid thing they did yesterday woofy. I do that not eating thing sometimes, you seem to reach a point beyond hunger & then it's a wobbly fit. Hope today is a better day.
Hope everyone else is chugging along ok...it's a lousy, dark, wet day here. I see it's not raining in Stockholm so that's something...thinking about you Sweedie.
Have found a sock wedged in the spin drier which I have finally managed to remove with a twisted wire hanger, so hopefully it'll work again now!

Ah Paul the Octopus has died.
hello all...we are having a normal day here....normals lovely isn't it? We went shopping in town at M and S who didn't have and have never seen my cord jeans so they have to be returned by post BUT I have great boots
these
http://www.marksandsp...AGBP50-GBP74.99&page=
only mine aren't dark and shiny, they are tan and distressed looking. I have been looking in vain for these for years that would fit up my legs.
Then we went to Starbucks then bought the boys a burger at macs as they aren't not into coffee and muffins...then we went and beat up the Range for craft stuff and dog chews, now we are at home drinking tea.
Yes Neti, DH still has one dressing has he still has a tube in his back to drain out his kidney while the main plumbing heals. He's leaping and bounding touch wood, did all the driving today and has started to swear at the idiots again.
M and S are doing boxes of pretzels dipped in milk chocolate and sprinkled with hundreds and thousands....extremely nice......
wishing you all normality....
Nice boots woofy!
autograph leather, is that signed by the horse? How chic.
Hya. Got back in about 2 and then had a visitor. A friend who I have known for yonks came round and brought his great grandson to see me. Did I feel old - yes very!!! Anyway this little lad is a Notts Forest fan and when I was helping him on with his coat his comment was. 'Oh no = a Derby fan putting my coat on'. He's just 6. Made me laugh!
Robi that eye flicker thing can be demonstrated in humans by syringing cold water into the ear..it stimulates the nerve. My Shughy who has an allergy that makes his ears wet and dirty does it sometimes when I clean his ears out. I reckon he's got a foreign body or an infection in there...especially with the redness. the steroid will take down the inflammation...did they say it might make him drink more and therefore need to pee more often? Shughy gets very very hungry on them too but he is a pig anyway.
Question Author
I think cold water in the ear'ole would make my eyes flicker too woofy. I can't say he's drinking more (yet) and he hasn't eaten anything which is very unusual...only a few hrs after his dental work last yr he was demanding his dinner! It's been a rough afternoon with prolonged episodes of staggering & head swishing, poor little chap, he get's so distressed...and I'm trying hard not to. I'm wondering about vestibular disease now too. He's calm for the moment. Hope his meds kick in very soon (steroids, anti-biotics & vivitonin to help blood flow to the brain).
"Wishing you all normality" lol that's the best wish I heard in a long time Woofy! Thanks for ALL your good wishes - it DOES help. You will not believe this but earlier tonight I heard the letter box slam and there was a note on the floor claiming access to my apartment on Monday for installing fiber-optics and instructions to move all furniture to the middle of the room, take paintings down, cover electronic equipment and clothes and so-fvcking-on. Lemme tell you I have book cabinets that not even Charlie on steroids could move (hang on, that COULD work...?) We (tenants) knew it was coming some time this winter but I thought they'd have the decency to wait until they had finished from the outside. (It's totally unrelated, but still.) Ahm a-getting mahsef one of them thar big ole shotguns and barricading the door. They're gonna have to come up through the plumbing if they want to get in - and right now I feel so invaded I wouldn't be at all surprised if they did. I'm not letting them in till they're finished on the outside, honest I'm not. I'm a crazy lady, deal with it, Landlord.

Ha ha Lottie I was rolling on the floor at the "caught on camera" piccie - I'm afraid it's not all that far off either...!! One of my friends did invite me to come live with her and her family for the duration but I had a hunch it would drag on and yesterday I learned it will be at the very least one month before they're done - and I just couldn't live in a suitcase for that long (she lives in the country 1,5 hours from here by train). She's a wonderful friend who'd gladly have me there but it's a long time to be away from home and my back doesn't like her spare room bed, either. Okay everybody you're gonna have to stop feeling sorry for me now or I'll just go on and on about it =:0

Husbands and dogs and sons on the run are in my thoughts xxxxxxx ! (As are Woofy's boots, for that matter - drop dead gorgeous they are:)
Morning all. How is charlie this am Hope he had a settled night, as I do with the husbands also.

Bit chilly but sunny, but it'll warm up.

Chin up swedie, must be awful for you. I remember whe n we lived in a 3 bedroom flat and we had workman building a roof for the balcony and they were treading in and out all day through the lounge, so we holed up in our bedroom most of the time, luckily daughter was only about 2, and the dirt the workmen left all over the fitted carpet. Was a nightmare.
Mornin peeps.
woof woof to charlie...hope the humanes are on the mend.Sounds shi$e kip..but look on the bright side, when the fibre optics are in your get quicker broadband and you can swear twice as fast..hehe..!spose to be brighting up later ere.Hope you have some sunshine in your lifes.later must go to work>>>whoosh(:O)

Morning all, hope everyone made it through the night...sunny, breezy & much milder here so that's a help.

Kit feel free to go on and on all you like, I'd be wandering around telling it to anyone who'd stop and listen. Actually that might be a good idea, sound confused & maybe they'll take you to a warm safe place for a while...a very long while. Oh no, scrub that idea, not good. Sending a cosmic order for an early completion....or a big fat lotto win.

Well Chas' still staggering a bit but there's no head swishing & eye flicking - hope he's on the mend - and we had a peaceful night, amazing considering how bad he was yesterday a'noon. I wasn't sure whether to go to bed but he settled down in his so I gave it a go. I hear every tiny noise so I wasn't worried about missing any cries. I think he slept more than I did but some's better than none. I wish you could see this place, I've tied cushions & towels around all sharp corners in case he stumbles into them. If he does bang against one he'll bounce all round the room like a pinball machine, haha. Poor lad, it's not funny but I've gotta smile or I'd burst into tears.

Got up very early, got bored with news & sat flicking round the tele channels...there was an animated prog of a little girl in wardrobe wearing a tiara...thought I'd nodded off and walked into shaney & neti's dreams, haha.

Vinny, do you know Stackton Tressel?...no...erm, Midsomer Norton? :o)
Morning folks. A good shopping trip eh Woofie and lovely, lovely boots. I ordered a pair of these for Vik for his birthday (tomorrow). He spends a lot of time outside and has good walking boots, but thought these would be good for winter in the garden and walking up the field.

http://www.cottontrad...otwear,footwearboots,

Ordered him a black pair and then decided to add a red topped pair for myself. They came this morning and are so, so warm and comfortable I might just keep them for best!! ;o). I have to hide my pair for a week or so because it seems very mean giving him a pair of boots and then producing some for myself - not a good idea for a birthday gift.

Am feeling horrid this morning but am going to force myself to plant those bluebells that came yesterday. Had a lovely lunch out but made a dreadful mistake of having a meringue (wonderful) and they gave us a jug of cream. I can't tollerate cream, but I decided to give it a go. I knew 1/2 hr later that it had upset me, My stomach started to cramp and I started to shiver and feel weird. Went home and slept until 7.00pm, had nightmares all night and weird shivers and had to keep running to loo. I shall not attempt cream again!!

Oh Swedie, I do so feel for you. My spare bed is very comfortable!! It's a bit far to come though!! How are you going to manage to move all that furniture. It must all be making you feel wretched. I know it would me. It's so invasive.

Robi, poor little Charlie and poor you. I hope things will improve very quickly. Take care of both of you xxxx.

Will check in later.

Love you all
