Does anyone happen to know what kind of moth this is please, without my having to trawl through hundreds of pics?
here
It's not really vital that I find out, I'm just curious. Maybe it's something really common...and no, it didn't fly out of my purse. :o)

Shaney, I've been to see the Book of the Dead exhibition, very interesting. They were basically books of spells to help you get through the underworld, chase away crocodiles, get little dolls to do any work that needed doing, stop your heart telling fibs when it was being weighed by Anubis to see if you'd been good... all sorts, about 200 of them. There wasn't one single book, you just chose what spells you wanted and got a scribe to write them down and illustrate them, so everyone rich had their own book. If you were slightly poorer you bought pre-written spells and filled your name in in the blank spaces. Most people had to do without them and just took their chances. Some lovely painting there, plus various carvings, scarabs and so forth.
Good morning all. Hope all is well with you. Thinking of you Shaney and Woofy and husbands.
I hope I gave you all a laugh with my 'other' brother and sisters.
The funeral went well it was quite brilliant. sounds unusual to say that but my cousin would have been pround of his son. We walked in to We'll meet again by Vera Lynn and then had a good get together meeting relatives we hadn't seen for ages and looking at photos and medals and things.
Having hair cut this afto and going out tonight for a change to see a band we like.
My friend would be very interested the book exhibition Jno. she loves anything like that. She used to say that she could put a mirror around somebody who prepetrated bad feelings and then they would get the bad feeling back on themselves.
She is very spiritual and really into it but it hasn't rubbed off on me yet and I doubt very much that it will.
I'll be glad when my lenses are ready cos I spend ages correcting my posts. I have to hold them where I can see through them. It's chronic.
Coffee time now - bye for now....
Pround?? proud...
A poppy bling ring jno? how common. No mine is a common or garden one with glitter on it and it's rather nice. May had some more, but mustn't gild the lily as it were!!!

Foot v painful today, and very blue with lumps where there should not be lumps! Bac slightly itchy but way better.

Can't help thinking of poor swedie, stuck out in all weathers with a stinking cold, that's just when you want your bed.

Making chicken and veg thick soup, and Spanish macarronis, as it seemed like a good idea!

Glad it went well yesterday Jude.

That's not a poppy, it's a riot shield.

I'd like a book of bloomin spells, you can't do right for doing wrong for some people. (Present owner of hose next door obviously taken umbridge over my newspaper curtain comments, lol...they took em back down btw. Hope the newbies have a soh).

Chas' been for a check up...he's fine, back next month for some more meds.

That's one of my favourite songs from a favourite band Kit, I'm going to be listening to them all afternoon.

Hope you're all ok, & thinking of shaney & mr s.

Mr S has the all clear .Well ,not the total all clear, they want see him in four months but they found no further cancers in the lymph so he doesn't have to go through chemo .
It was all contained in one area .Huge relief all round but we are not out of the woods yet .there's still the piddle problem but his last anti coag injection is today .I think we are getting towards a proper clot count or whatever they call it .Still dressings for the nether regions for a while but otherwise .....whoop de whoop ....

I am so grateful to these doctors and nurses .They've saved my husbands life .

Back later ... to read through your posts ..at the mo I have a laaaarge drink in front of me..
Mr S. has got a cup of tea :))

What fantastic news for you both shaney...well done Mr S! Carry on matron! :o) xxx
That's a great start to the weekend...let's have lots more good news...
Alas, I have blinged my poppy well if not wisely, looks like a 3yr old has had a go at it, glue and glitter everywhere!
huh, told you you should have got a proper one from Helen Mirren.
Shaney that's wonderful! !!!!!! I am so delighted for you both.
Had an eventful hight here last night. Fireworks on and off from 18.30 to 01.00, dogs on ceiling, DH exhausted but fine after his visit to fil...all well today though.
No fireworks here, I wold love to attend a Bonfire party back in old Blighty, maybe one day!

Hope al Biddyfolk ( hubbies included) are well and happy.

Am a bit worried about swedie as she has a cold and is having to roam the streets at her age can't be much fun. Spect sh'll be on here later.
SHANEY! SHANEY! :))))) What a clever nurse you are, and what a clever husband you've got! Talking back to the night big time stylie, eh! I'm so happy for you.

And Charlie fine too:) And even my dizzy friend is better - good thing, cos I bet I would have had to blow on her face and massage her throat to make her swallow her medication and that would have been hard over the phone ha ha. Nurses, they're a stubborn lot.

Not being able to see my park at the moment I chase cats and dogs on the streets even more than usual ha ha - but I always ask their Mums and Dads if it's all right. The other day I was in a watchmaker's shop where a small dog - Jack Russell type - lay in the window at the back, a couple of metres away from the desk. I didn't even notice him till the watchmakers first dropped their jaws and next started scolding him for having jumped down from his place and run over to greet me. "He NEVER does that!" they kept saying over and over again. So either I smell like baloney or he knew I suffer from park view withdrawal. Could be both!

Happy Rascar Day Neti! http://i53.tinypic.com/szdg8i.gif and pleeeeaaaaaase stop worrying about me, they haven't thrown me out of the library yet and you can even bring a coffee-to-go there so I'm quite settling in. ("At her age" - I'm so gonna get her!)

Wish I could have come with you to that exhibition jno. You've just reminded me I used to have a black scarab with an inscription on the back, some kind of message for Anubis regarding my heart's constitution... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=037uSAIahho
Yay swedie, I was being nice :-(
