It might be a good idea, Ed if at the top of the Chatterbank questions there is a note from you explaining the situation in a pink box so that people are not left wondering what on earth has happened.

Oh..the old Brittania pier ! Thank you Gessoo. I don't go into GY much these days ..we tend to go over to Lowestoft or to Norwich for shopping. In my youth I used to swim from the Brittannia Pier to the Wellington Pier..there used to be annual race and I used to work at the Wellie (as we called it) as a waitress in the Biergarten in the evenings.....where I once slopped a snowball all down one of the customers. The place used to hold about a five hundred people and us waitresses were always rushed off our feet.I went rushing along with eight pints and the snowball on a tray and it fell off and went all over this poor woman as I went by.I was mortified ! Spent some happy times there. We used to have Josef Hofer and his Tyrolean Band.I think I must know every word of of all the songs in The Student Prince !!
haha neti.... I'll be the one who appears, for some bizarre reason, to be watering a cowpat......

Congratulations on your forthcoming little Grandson Willie Robinia!

Good name that - my Dad was a William & so is my eldest brother. -x-

I remember a brilliant holiday in a caravan in Great Yarmouth when I was 16. Me and my girlfriend went on the big dipper at the fair in the last carriage and we loved it that much we stayed on and went round again. You wouldn't catch me on one now!! They're a bit different nowadays.:oO

Thanks smudge - think I'm always going to think of him as Willie until he's born & given an official title!

Big Dipper Jude??? Not for me - I get dizzy on an escalator!

Forgot to ask - are there any bargains in town Jude? - I really need some new shoes....wish I'd known this winter was going to be so cold for so long - I'd have bought some boots.....bet there's been a rush on liberty bodices since we made them trendy ....hahaha
Many congrats Robinia on your new Grandson. How lovely for you.
thanks shaneystar -I'd better get knitting little blue things or the poor little chap will be in pink for the first 3 years of his life....my son's house is a bit of a pink explosion. Not the decor, just all the girly stuff!

Robinia Didn't stay long enough to look for bargains was too cold. I went to get a new silver chain for one I'd broken, once I'd done that I came home. I'm really fed up with Winter now must be the coldest round here for years.

Congratulations on the new baby. William is a great name.

You're welcome Robinia, it's wonderful having Grandchildren around you - it really gives you a lift, 'specially when they tell you how much they love you & draw you nice pictures....

I've had our little Granddaughter Izzy today (she's just 3). She's my little shadow & was helping me in the garden this morning using her own little wooden rake!

Now that is odd gesso - Coggles was just asking me if I'd heard from Anniekon lately!
Thank you, it's just as well he won't be here until June 'cos it's going to take until then to warm up I think. It wouldn't be so bad if it was a bright & frosty old fashioned winter but this gloom is awful. I'm sure all this cloud must be holding down all the rubbish in the air, I feel for anyone with breathing problems.
It's a real rare occasion when I find a bargain, but sometimes Debenhams comes up trumps.
Coggles?? She's still here then? I'm sure she was one of the first people I answered on here well over 2 yrs ago! smudge you were the first to answer me! (sinus problems)
Now I feel really old I have a Grandson 22 and a Grandaughter 18!!
