It might be a good idea, Ed if at the top of the Chatterbank questions there is a note from you explaining the situation in a pink box so that people are not left wondering what on earth has happened.

Jude, my son is 22 - I'm an elderly mother

gessoo

My sons are 44 and 35 Gessoo. I became a Grandma when I was 43 which I think was quite young at the time. :o)

Blimey, you've got a good memory like me Robinia! My sinuses still give me grief, but I get by with my nose spray & facial sauna's!

Coggles hasn't been on AB or A/Book for a very long time now. Her two little girls keep her busy - inbetween school & nursery runs, etc.

She hasn't been in very good health of late either. She's had an under active thyroid for some time now, which needed some sorting out to get the balance right! Also, she doesn't absorb iron, so has been backwards & forwards to the hospital twice a week since November for iron transfusions (infusions actually) - they finish next week, thank goodness! The last lot was back in 2003 - it's such a nuisance, but she soldiers on. -x-

Sorry gesso - was typing away, then got distracted - didn't notice you'd asked how Coggles was - thank you for that -I shall let her know. -x-
I shall tell Coggles that Anniekon asked after her too of course! ;o}

Oh I'm sorry to hear she's not been well smudge but glad it's being sorted out. Yes I remember now she was worried about having a bone marrow biopsy & I was trying to put her mind at rest - having had three :-(

The reason I remember the early days so clearly is because I was terrified of making a twit of myself & saying something stupid. Now I don't care hehe!

Hi Jude - we married very young & have two daughters aged 40 & 37. I became a Nanny at 42 & have three Grandaughters aged 16, 6 & 3 & a Grandson aged 14.

N.B. I'm still only a young at heart 58 Biddy though!!!!

Thank you Robinia - I shall tell Coggles you've asked after her too.

She'll remember the bone marrow biopsy question - I certainly do, I was worried sick at the time! -x-

Smudge I'm young at heart too and still love to dance and get out and about. (Definitely not clubbing though!! Only local places) I have a friend who lives on her own as well and we get out as much as we can. I sometimes miss having young children round me but I do have nieces and nephews who have youngsters themselves and I get to see them quite a lot.

I became a first time mother at the age of 42. Always was a late learner.

Brilliant Neti. My son who is 35 and his girlfriend aren't getting married until next year and his girlfriend has a level head and I'm sure she wants to do things right and wont be having any children until after then, never mind, as long as they're happy that'sall that matters.

you can't see me but I can see you gessoo

oh I say

I had my two at a young age - not really something I'd recommend but as things worked out it's a good thing that I had them when I did. Now I can tease them about having grey hairs!

I really should be working, but this is more interesting!!!

I had my son at 36 after being married for 11 years. Never really felt the need for kids, but of course loved him to bits when he arrived. Has kept me very young having young people around me. Still a rock chick at heart!!

Still keeping that eye on you all. Robinia is peeping at me round the corner and thinks I don't know ...............

Robbie

hahaha - love the killer heels. Apparently we should all be breaking our ankles this season on 5 inch heels!!!
I do still have my red stilletos & every now & then I put them on & totter around the house - well, only for a few minutes.......(leave it Vinny, don't even think about the webcam)

Snap gessoo - we had also been married for 11years and also didn't feel the need for children (was a teacher and worked with them all day) and then I miscarried twins, which set my maternal instincts in motion so had to have one, also lost 2 more after her. Don't think I could manage any more of 'em. This would have been me!!!
