I've just watched Griff Rhys Jones in Rome .Very good it was .He's quite comical. They're excavating for a new Metro system and of course they keep finding ancient roman buildings below the surface .
He said "all Tony Robinson ever seems to find is a couple of old bricks,he'd have an orgasm if he saw this lot " .
I ought to do some cleaning really ,I waved to someone out the window the other day and then realised it was a lamp post .
And ....my pegs need a wash :)
haha, did you think it was me shaney? I thought Alan Titchmarsh was in B&Q a couple of weeks ago...it was a cardboard cut out...must wear my glasses more often.
<ping!>...ooh, my order's been despatched from m&s, I might have summink clean to wear at the weekend :o)

I'll watch Ladies on itv player tomorrow neti, I forgot about it.

Right, I'm off before some hideous creature decides to creep out of the woodwork...
Don't worry Robinia .I'm hiding in your outside lav with the

at slightest sound of a buzz I'll nip out and execute it .
Nite nite .
Good morning biddies, Bit early so I'll creep about. Mt N is due to dock in 4 hrs and daughter should land in 4and a half hrs.

They keep finding roman remains here, and a couple of years ago when they were building our "motorway" they found 40 muslim graves, which I think they moved. Here they were preserving so many roman things that we didn't have room to move on the island!

Think I'll make a cuppa then have another sleep!

We have one of those electric tennis racquet bug killers, it electrocutes them and they spark, Great for swatting flies in mid-flight, althojugh have to admit I've never tried it on anything else for fear that it may only enrage them!
ARE YOU ALL STILL ASLEEP??? WAKEY WAKEY!!!!!!
Quit ya hollerin! I didn't sleep much last night either...tut

Back later ,be good :))
ha ha you two!! Have been awake since 4.25am. Expected my two to arrive at 9ish, so settled back in bed to rest and there was an awful racket on my door, I was terrified, so leaned out of the bedroom window to see who was wanting to ravish me, oh lawdy there was Mr N, he'd arrived early and wanted me to go with him to airport to collect the fruit of our loins and then have breakfast out! Yes pan boli y cafe amb llet. So sleep was denied me! His van is chock a block with her possessions, so now have a nice flat screen tv in my kitchen, the rest is staying in his van whilst my sisters are here, and hija will have to burrow through the dross to find fresh clothes.

Yes shaney have managed to find two towelling dressing gowns to wash though maybe sisters will need them in the mornings.
*thought*
*lands in inflatable mattress and returns helmet* Afternoon biddies, been giggling at George Flintstone and at your dryer fluff combats, lamp post encounters and Titchmarsh hallucinations. There's a haiku in that genre, where the Subject waves back - at someone who is cleaning a window:)

Had fun meeting my friend yesterday but was also saddened to see how difficult it is becoming for her to walk. She has OA (I think - she's not very keen on getting proper diagnoses) and it's really getting to her hips now. We're the same age... She didn't have it in her to walk from the cinema to my place (a 5-10 minute walk, normally) so we had coffee prior to and a meal after watching the film, Fantastic Mr. Fox. It wasn't hilarious but I enjoyed the subtle and non-plugged jokes, like a quick mention of "Master Plan B" :-D And, a quick glance at Kylie Opossum's ID card where you see his full name stated as Kylie Sven Opossum, ha ha ha! Also, there was a moment of complete magic, when Mr.Fox, who has a phobia of wolves, finally encounters one. I'll never forget that moment.

Hope your "cryonics" went well Jude. How's your lady blackbird doing today, have you seen her?

I see WWF has recorded our Robi http://www.guardian.c...neo?picture=361723269 ("Megastick"!:-D)
Proof perfect that we are all psychic Neti .I also washed two dressing gowns today :) My thick winter one and a cotton summer one which needed freshening up.It's been in the wardrobe so long this year I'd forgotten what it looked like .They are flapping away on the line. .
I'm sorry to hear about your friend with her hips Kit .I know just how she feels .I'm a dab hand at leaning on things when I'm out anywhere at times and I'm always looking for somewhere to sit down ! It's so bluddy painful at times and I have to grit me teeth .
Sometimes in the supermarket queue I stand there hotching around wishing they had a conveyor belt that got you home :)
Luckily Mr S goes ahead with the shopping when we have a lot to get and I trail behind watching him do his roadrunner impersonation as he marches up the hill .It isn't much of a hill but it seems like climbing Everest to me .

Shaney I love you avatar
Oooh thank you Woofy .That's my dear old boy out on the garden bench when he was in his prime .He used to like sitting there in the sun .Still miss him :(
He's so moving (Shaney the dog). I always felt that but of course particularly after you posted the story of how he came to be your dog./Yup my friend did a lot of leaning yesterday, and she used the word waddle to describe what her gait feels like. She lifts one foot just a teeny bit and then she sorts of thrusts the entire half of her body (on the lifted foot side) forward, puts that foot down and repeats the process with the other side :'((
Snap shaney, Mr N scoots ahead of me in the shops in the (mistaken) belief that I won't fill my arms up with "things we do not need" ie washing detergent "What do you do with it?" Oh yes Mr N I drink it!!

What is actually the matter with yoru hips? I have a curling spine (not scoliosis) and when that gets active, the right hip hurts as you say like a toothache for a week or two and then Ok again. Whereas Mr N's hip was out if it's socket for years (discovered by an osteopath - who practised her first accupuncture on him) and after a couple of times the muscles relaxed enough for the hip to go back in, afters years of visiting the doctor - and then out and then in, until it's stayed in finally, now he has a mouse in his kneecap, No I've no idea either, he has to go for a CAT scan:
Afternoon all. Hope you are all ok today. It's beautiful here. I've been for a walk about 45 mins calling at the shops for my mealworms and bird seed. My lady blackbird's tail is looking ok now so the disjointed tail feather must have come off. she just turns up now at my feet and she waits while I put the feed out for her.

My 'thingys' have been zapped but I have to go back and maybe have a bit more zapping to make them totally go. The Nurse who does it is my Drs. wife and he came in while I was there and said 'what you up to oh yes you're being zapped'.(a medical term I presume!!) They are such a nice couple. I used to see them a lot when I worked at Sainsburys.

Pleased you had fun yesterday Kit but sorry that your friend has to struggle walking. I am so lucky that I can walk good distances. Haven't been to see a film for ages. Wanted to see Depp in Alice but haven't got round to it yet. Bet it's not on now so will probably have to wait til it's on the box.

Have you found your wasp yet Robi. Dead or alive.

Off out tonight to see my son in his band Telegraph Road - Dire Straits Tribute.Should be a good night. Mind you it's Dire Straits all night so you have to be a fan. Well you don't have to be but it's better if you are.

I love your avatar too Shaney. I loved my little Shep and was so sad when he died. I want to change my avatar and have stopped my Hey Jude one but have forgotten how to put another one on so if anyone can remind me I would appreciate it.
also Shaney I didn't realize how difficult it was for you to walk as well. I'm sorry. Here's me going on about my walks etc.

Off to get something to eat now see yer later 'gater(s) x
My hips are riddled with osteoarthritis Neti .In fact I'm riddled with it full stop :)
I have what they call whole body OA.It all started out with a high rheumatoid factor which has gradually burnt itself out but I still get the odd attack .I've had both knees washed out and also cortisone jabs in various joints ,knees, elbows ,various drugs and all sorts.Nothing they can do about it really .
The weather gets to me a lot .More so when it's cold and damp which is why the minute the sun's out and it's hot I'm out sitting in it asap.
I can walk Ok but there are times I can't go far without wanting to sit down .
I make myself do things though or otherwise I'll seize up altogether .Like that trip round the workhouse ,the next day I could hardly move !
I just can't run for a bus anymore and my dancing days are over :)
Glad your little op went Ok Jude .Have a nice time tonight and do some rockin' and rollin`' for me :)
