Ha..ha Guess the Title ? I haven't got a bloomin' clue .
There was one that turned out to be Fire Twirling ..I don't think it appreciated me typing in Whirling Dervish .I think i'll stick to me crosswords .
We do play Scrabble sometimes here in the winter when there's nowt on tele. We have the Deluxe version ya know with a revolving board .Very posh ..:))
Lampwick insists on all these Deluxe things .He thinks I'm made of money .Don't tell him I water the Gordons down with Asdas own brand .
Glad you are back Neti .I've never been in an Internet Cafe .I wouldn't know where to begin .
Anyway I've been a grumpy old woman today and fired off a letter of complaint to the principal of the sixth form college which is round the corner from us .
The minute those students are back our front gardens are full of their chip papers and cola cans and the streets are awash with litter ..And why do they have to walk six abreast on our narrow pavements .I was really annoyed today with all this rubbish in the garden .Messy lot .Bah .
Having got that orf me chest I shall bid you all farewell for now ..see you later xx

good morning all, up early because knee playing up so have just had a bowl of cereal and some inbuprofen...have just looked out of the window and seen some blue sky so I guess I can stop building the ark. Pups (bless em) have had breakfast and are asleep again.
Wishing you all a good (connected) day!
Ooh, had to sign-in again and was so worried for a moment. Thought it had happened again!!!! Was just checking to see if I am here, and yes I am.

Hi Vinny hope you are Ok, we are missing you x
Afternoon All Well at last some lovely sunshine. I'd forgotten what the sun looked like.

Just had a read of all your posts from the last time I looked - it's good to catch up. Hope you are feeling better Vinny I miss your posts and all the musical links you put on. And Kit I have never done Qi Gong. Hope your class is going well. I am still going to our self help group and it is very enjoyable. We have background music now as well which is very relaxing. We didn't have it at the previous classes.
Hope you all are having better weather than we've had lately. Certainly makes you feel better. I've actuallly got some washing on the line.
Hi Neti receiving you loud and clear. Hope you are ok too.

By for now :o)

well, talk about bakıng on the Bosphorus... swelterıng, ıt was... hot enough to melt the dots on your I's... and yet only 80 degrees or so. Must have been the humıdıty but I felt the pounds drıppıng off as I walked... I longed for one of those gentle Englısh summer showers you were no doubt havıng

... dear me, I am startıng to sound lıke Netı, and I am not even 80 yet.
Bl**dy cheek!!!!
good mornng, haha, your I's might have had ther heads boled Jno but mne are wearng sou'westers.

Not felt too good the past couple of days but one totters on don't one? Hope you're all lurgy free & not too damp around the damart. It's pop socks a go-go I'm afraid, passion killers they may be but that's hardly a concern & I'm fed up of the wet rot creeping up my my lower sticks.

oops, look out

Neti told me she was 75 :))
Wecome back Jno hope you had a good time .I wouldn't mind sweating round the Bosphorus.Must be better than all this rain .Mind you it's held off here for a couple of days now and I've been window cleaning and curtain washing and generally getting myself in a tizz with it all.
Those Mousey umbrellas are a good idea Robinia ..I'll have to ask them what colour they prefer ....
Nothing wrong with pop socks ..it's when you have to wear support pop socks you have to start worrying !
Morning all - welcome back jno and you can now apologise to a very young at heart and sprighly 60 (ish) me!!!

It is so unbearably humid, it's unbelievable, just hoping and praying for a huge storm to clear it . I am literally dripping from my scalp as I write this. I'd give ANYTHING to be where you are Robi right now!!!
Afternoon. Welcome back jno, there should be a brass band sitting around somewhere (it's one of Neti's leftovers). Istanbul, I keep seeing you as Hercule(tte) Poirot on the Orient Express but I don't even remember if Poirot was in that one. Oh I miss Peter Ustinov.

Oh dear, my brother-in-law has given my sister a horse's head, what can it mean?! Phew, it's in cast iron and she had wished for it, it's for the garden... And they've bought some hawthorn shrubs, two Julias and one Romeo. They were planning on a single shrub but apparently you have to have one of each, and then there was some kind of sale so an extra Julia was thrown in whether they wanted it or not, ha ha - how I hope my brother-in-law will start making hawthorn jam, I so love that.

Yes one shall have to carry on regardless, Robinia. Stiff upper lip and all that sort of thing :-/ (Why wouldn't it be, when everything else is...?) Well I'll be off to sell my vintage Dobb's hat box. Bye for now, possums, and don't forget to

dream

Kit that's beautiful and soooo sad!
Bonsoir...it seems very late & it's only just after 6.30 :o(

I love hawthorn, supposedly it's got a lot of magical properties...hope they've plenty of room or they like getting handy with the shears Kit, it does romp a bit. And will they be romping naked around it on Midsummer's eve?

What a beautiful little video, Hermeseta will love that...we all have dreams like that don't we? Well I do. In my dreams I can swim, fly, drive & smoke....oh that's not good I know but I can taste the tobacco. Considering I've never smoked it's very odd. Oh & I can pull good looking men half my age....dream on Robi...
Glad you liked it Woofy and Robi, it's one of the bestest little flash movies I've ever seen. I've got it on my blog.

Magical as in unbelievably healthy, Robinia? 'Cos it is. Or is there also some interesting mythology connected with hawthorn?
some of it's here, Kit

http://hubpages.com/hub/DarkwingThe_Hawthorn_- _May_Tree_Lore

As I recall it was considered bad luck to cut a hawthorn down; the De Lorean company did so to build a factory, and you know what happened to them.
Hello Everyone Hope you are all ok.

Lovely little vid Kit. I don't have dreams that I remember very often but I do daydream quite a lot always have done. You'd think I'd have learnt by now wouldn't you :o)

I'm off out to lunch in a bit with my Rock and Roll friend who got married in June so I don't see her too often now so we'll have a good 'chinwag'

I thought Hawthorn was just a prickly bush growing in the countryside so I read your link with interest Jno. My friend who is a pagan believes whole heartedly that there are fairies at the bottom of her garden and who am I to argue with her but I do wonder sometimes about her!

Have a nice day y'all as they say across the 'pond' x
morning all...
Well why not believe in fairies Jude although mine must all be on strike 'cos they don't do much around the garden. It's as I've often said, if I claimed to believe in God people would just say "Oh, right". If I said I believed in faries they'd probably say "R...i...g...h...t, okaaaay.....". But I've got the same proof that both exist....which is none really.

I daresay most plants have some kind of folklore attached to them. You're not supposed to remove a yew tree either which is unfortunate if one sprouts up a foot from your front door :o) We get quite a few seedlings along here, I think they blow over from the church.

mmm, could be a Spanish fairy don'cha think?

:o)

Fairies at the bottom of her garden - huh - we've got them all over the island, they wear leather and they mince along!!!

I have a local family living at the bottom of my garden, they are sort of knuckle draggers. If the scientists in Swizerland had visited me, they'd have no need to create the Big Bang, they could see from here from it was like!!!
hahaha, lol neti
looks like he's just found this thread

you've probably heard it by now but another brilliant song from Duffy yo

Oh I love Duffy, such a good voice and she looks so 60's!! She worked for a friend of mine as a waitress in Wales before she was famous - see I'm connected to everyone, everywhere!!!
