Here's the thread if you want to follow it.
Thanks, I've read it all now Neti. Unbelievably tragic. I knew you're a good sort Neti so I don't want to sound surprised but what a great help and comfort you are being to that poor woman and indirectly also to the relatives. Well done <3

Did you hear Richard Wright of Pink Floyd died, Vinny. / That cat you're always chucking out, it's idiomatic, right? If not, we want a piccy.

Just watched a programme about the world's smartest sea lion. I'll see if I can find her on YouTube another day but for now g'night all.

Morning all - just popping out for coffee.

Thanks swede for your kind comments. We do what we can for others.

Hi All
Latest on the door saga my man's been and he can't do anything until a week on Saturday and he has to take the door off by dismantling the hinges then fit a new lock and bolts. Boo Hoo!!

Thank you Vinny for Led Zep really enjoyed that. Good to have you back x I listened to the Agatha Christie piece. I like Poirot on the telly. I think he is her bext character.

You are kind Neti trying to help others with regards to that tragedy.

Just had a text from my friend who is now sitting by the pool in Sunny Majorca!! Lucky thing.

Bye for now x

hi all...just a quick hello to say thanks for all your good wishes/mails.
Things have evened out but the bottom line is they really can't say either way...we nearly lost him on Sunday, they sent for us in a flap & then by the time we arrived he was still very ill but it was immediate panic over.
I'm just about on me hands & knees so sorry I don't have the brain power to read all your posts in detail but I've got the drift...you're all still barmy!

That Ziggy sure covers some ground Vinny, he looks like the booger that snatches my birds!

Just found an old piccy of my mum as a child & her parents (1924ish) in the Beehive Pub in Grantham that they ran for a while....the contraption you see in the tree isn't a medieval George it's a 'living sign', a beehive...there have been S. African bees there since the 1800s. (My grandad wasn't actually my real one....naughty grandma! The scandal, tut!)

I've got a round tuit plate....I never got around to hanging it :o)
That "thing" in the photo is George's Grandfather, and don't argue, I know these things!!!
Errr jude - sunny Majorca??? it's peeing down here in Ibiza!!!
Evening dawgs. I think you're both right Robi and Neti - that thing in the tree is George's grandfather - but not his real one... (Don't tell George, he thinks the world of his grandparents.)

That's a lovely photo Robinia. Did they live upstairs from the pub? Have you noticed how alike they are standing, all three of them... Good to have you back. It's a rough experience when someone is so ill, there comes a time when you don't even know what to pray for anymore.

Aww what a handsome guy is that Ziggy...! Thanks for posting him Vinny, made my day. And Agatha - she sounds very much like I would have thought! People rarely do. Or rather, people don't look like they talk... or... oh you know what I mean. / "The Japanese absolutely love her"/"How bizarre that is!"

Jude are you absolutely sure you can't get out ? Scary - a lot of the time I feel like that dog... and far too seldom like Rio, the smart sea lion I mentioned yesterday. She isn't on YouTube but there are lots of articles on the net if you're interested.

Was gonna tell you about my shiatsu but the post became too long - will post again tomorrow!
(I'm not sure if that sounded right, Robinia - sorry if it didn't. I was thinking of my mother and her struggle with illness towards the end of her life.)

G'night all.
well... just till I get my turkeys into order... I went down to old London town t'other day and what should I see... it's an invasion by the Belgians... mustn't tell the people in the News section, they'll all be wanting more crackdowns on immigrants...

morning all, it's a lovely day & looking at the map it seems it's pretty much the same everywhere.
Brother has improved a little but obviously they won't give out any promises.

It didn't sound wrong Kit I know exactly what you mean & sadly I've been there on more than one occasion.
I assume they did live over the pub I'm not sure if the next door was part of it but it is now
haha, love the dog & door, it's like my friend's cats who only went through the flap even if the door was open.

have you been on the big wheel in Derby market place Jude?
one of bro's favourites

Morning.!
Lovely day ere to robinia.Magic photo,I love looking at Friths yo type in any town.fingers crossed for your brother.Must go and do some work, catch yer later...(*_*)
noooooo.! not the smurfs jno lol.
Hi there! Loved the dog and door Kit very funny. I'm getting used to just using the tradesmans entrance now. Will just have to wait for my man coming over to see to my front door.

No Robi haven't been on the wheel and don't think I will be, I'm a bit nervous of those things. Didn't used to be in my younger years. Used to love Big Dippers etc. and all things fairground! Listening to Freddy Cannon took me back to my teenage years. Brilliant!! Hope your brother continues to get better.

I've just been in a mad rush, in the middle of doing my lunch I suddenly remembered I had a hair appointment just made it on time. What am I like?!

Off to wash the pots now don't have the luxury of a dishwasher.

See yer later 'gater(s) x

Hello you lovely people ..hope you are all OK ,dodgy doors and harrassed hairdressers permitting :))
How things change eh ? Lovely pictures Robinia ..hope things are OK....chin up xx
Loved the Agatha Christie thing Vinny ..marvellous I've watched them on tele and video since the Margaret Rutherford and Joan Hickson days .I still reckon Joan Hickson was the best Miss Marple .
Talking about people who speak after they are dead ..my niece is into all this paranormal stuff and goes on these ghost walks and most haunted thingies .I don't know if there is any thing in it She's always trying to get me involved and wants me to go to these psychic things with her but I make an excuse !
But funnily enough she went to this psychic artist .Who drew a picture for her which was uncannily the spit of my Mum !
Very weird .
Then she showed me some website she had found where famous people are supposed talk ..eg Oscar Wilde etc ..Load of old rubbish ...Mind you .....!
Anyway had a lovely day yesterday in Norwich ...Ididbuyabagbutitwasonly3.99soIdontfeeltooguilty
I wrote that quick so that Robinia doesn't notice :)))
