(This is a rerun of a question I asked a while back in the main category. Didn't get any replies there - could it be that the real buffs dwell in subcategories only? Sorry to be such a pain in the proverbial but I really want that poster - if indeed it exists.)

I used to own a black-and-white photo postcard from a Martha Graham production where dancer Merce Cunningham comes flying through the air in one giant leap. A woman (Graham?) sits at her desk in a jaded pose studying his flight toward her as if she were assessing his flying techniques rather than anticipating his company. Cunningham's body is cram full with energy, he's like a spring just released; looking at the picture you feel he must surely bounce once he lands.

I'd love to have this photo on my wall as a poster but haven't been able to find it. I'm good at advanced googling but search engines do provide different results in different countries - so if you're in the mood for some googling and you don't live in Sweden...

well look what the wind blew in....ME!

morning folks...been a lovely couple o' days so I've been in & out & busy, busy, you know how it is....it was nearly warm enough for shorts yesterday...yikes!

don't let shaney kid you with all that cleaning 'n cooking ...
she's been sewing on buttons & bracing herself

lovely pics woofy it's a bit mossy here too
so you're all swapping locations? tut, I'll have to move all the pins around on me map...did I mention a group of us midland grockles are coming to live in Biddyford Yo!?

Allow me to remind you of the best April fool's hoax...it was the one when my parent's were married April 1st 1955 & my mother altered all the photos to say 1953....and let me go on believing it for 50 years! TUT!

Well all I can say to that is I saw you with my own eyes, Neti... er... that don't mean I was there... it was on reality teve here in Sweden and a very popular show it was, too. We've already seen "Ibiza uncovered" but I have to say "Neti uncovered" was even more popular with the Scandinavian viewers.

Ha ha ha I love that Shaney photo, Robinia! / I bet Charlie's happy now it's spring; does he stay out in the garden alone?

the opera

Actually Kit, Mr N and I were in "Ibiza Uncovered" but only in the wedding one where the guests get of the road "train"!, we were waiting at the church and can only be noticed if you know where we were and what we were wearing - disgraceful prog!!
Just watching the opera, is it for real, they do mention real peole and places.

Neti screwing on the Finnish ferry - Be Warned!! Not for the faint hearted!!
Kit, NFN is one of the abbreviations doctors are alleged to write on patients' notes, to alert other doctors who might see them; also NOONG (not one of nature's gentlemen), BBSS (big boobs, see soon), LOBNH (lights on but nobody home), TEETH (tried everything else, try homeopathy) and others. Also Pumpkin Positive, which suggests that a light shone into the patient's mouth would encounter a brain so small that the whole head would light up, and DBI - Dirt Bag Index, which multiplies the number of tattoos with the number of missing teeth to give an estimate of the number of days since the patient last bathed.

As to why Norfolk... well, not wishing to annoy the locals, but the suggestion is that Norfolk is a remote and isolated county where a lot of inbreeding goes on...

well I'm suprised you missed me jno
HP...handbag positive - confused, usually elderly lady clutching handbag

no Kit he doesn't stay out there alone for long but he likes the door open so he can go on patrol every 15 miutes. That's not happening today, it's wild 'n windy.... and I hate windy weather, it makes me irritable!!! grrrr

No idea about the "opera", Neti, I just assumed it was from some television comedy show? / Aha, you have been on Ibiza uncovered! I knew it!

That's an interesting aftershave Vinny's wearing today Zuperbug Summer Subtle...?

Uh-oh... sorry, Shaney... I absolutely do not know that jno person... complimentary cheese being rushed to you even as we speak... (Thanks jno. We have a few of those too, though not as... creative.)

Robinia my eldest sister and her husband have one of these "attachments" (I don't know the right word) to their house and one of their late dogs used to lie there for hours, even in the winter and even when they had to close the door so as not to chill the entire house, he would rather lie there all alone than come in. I remember standing in the doorway and saying his name to check if he wanted to come in (as it was cold) but he just turned his head away quietly as if to say "I am where I want to be". He was a big, friendly dog. I remember one time we were talking about what their dogs would have been if they'd been human; I always felt he would have been a blacksmith. Their bitch would have been a police officer my b-i-l said and I think he was right, she was always on somebody's case.
Hi all ..the Pearly Queens left for London about an hour ago : I have had a lovely time with with them .Short but sweet .
A. brought her little dog Twiglet who is a border terrier ..dear little thing ...and we took her on the beach. .My dear old friend J. looks very poorly but she's soldiering on ..bless her. She was so thrilled to see the sea and we had an ice cream and a short toddle along the front although it was a bit breezy for her and she can't get her breath very well .. We managed to kill a bottle of scotch though between myself ,her and Mr S . Poor A.had to have squash though as she was driving !
Lots of gossip and laughs and reminiscences .It was a bit tearful when they went and I don't know when and if I will see her again .Hope you are all well and have also had a nice day .xx

In spite of having had a drink I can still type and still seem to have all my marbles .... and not a lot of inbreds can do that .

That's nice, Shaney, sad, but a nice memory created for you all. I liked reading about your day.
Shaney..I could have been there..
you write so well.made me sad to...J will be okay now back in her own pad.
(*_*)yo
evening...glad you had a good day (although tinged with sadness), with your friends shaney.
The 'attachment' is what we call a conservatory Kit & I daresay if I had one both of us would lie in it all day ... lovely.
now these are attachments
I think Charlie would be a mattress softness tester....well I expect someone does it.

I think I could do with a swig of sommink strong...it's been a day & half here.
Did I mention the wind? bl00dy silly weather...poor Tarquin's had a nasty smack on the head 'cos of it...the wind blew the car door on him.
My puta's very kindly gobbled up ALL of my music...I've got a fair bit of it backed up on discs, but not all I think
And I phoned my sister to offload & she was calling me at the same time to get something off her chest, ha!

you don't see an old fogey for ages & then 3 come along

And here we see your botanical interest shining through again, Vinny;-) "Sono molto psychedelic" - as someone on YouTube commented the tune you posted earlier today... Look, Vinny, I found your picture on the internet...

Let's see, did Robinia mention it's windy? I think you may have, once or thrice. hold on, robinia! / But Tarquin's okay isn't he? God if I were a mother I'd call the poor kids once an hour to make sure whether they'd smacked themselves in the head or not! They should be grateful I didn't bear them! / Oh no, you mean like downloaded files, or what?

moo

Ha ha ha there should definitely have been a comma in that sentence! What I meant was: "...to make sure, whether they'd..." Omitting it rather changes the meaning of the sentence...!
Good Morning...Wakey Wakey...!!!
Wind..she says....its windy every other day round these parts...and we love it..(:O)
weve got a thick sea mist at the mo looks like its warming up...gotta get up me ladder today and do some pointing...
be summer soon yo (:O)
morning people......coffee for shaney
it'll save you getting up when you need.....
hope you're feeling ok, it was quite a day you had.

love the pic Vin!!(ok, you too)
it's oddly relaxing watching it.... ah, summer, well I don't want it to be the hottest ever thanks, just warm 'n dry(ish) will do nicely...better strike Biddyward Yo off if it's gonna blow me hairnet away every other day. I think a sea breeze is different tho' from the dust 'n stuff that blows around here...

oh fantastic song Kit (Franki V) & not heard that for ages and yes, I do mean ALL of my downloaded music....many hundreds including lots of Motown & Northern soul of course. T say's there's a slight chance of it still being in there somewhere he's bringing a recovery van or sommink at the weekend. (he was ok but sore last night - & I would text every hour but they get shirty you know)
This was amongst it...one of my all time fave's...love the words
YO
What is wrong with this site - sometimes I can't get on, then my computer closes down usually after 5 mins, can't access my profile - will have to go on Bebo!!
Question Author
Possums. Dawgs. Whatever you be.

"Bebo", she says. Sounds like a bar in Finland to me, that does. I can access my profile, Neti. But I remember a few weeks ago everyone else was having trouble and you weren't - maybe it's something to do with different servers (for different countries.) (That sounded good. In reality I've no idea.)

Love the cat burglars Robinia. But how can this be, what, how, when, why - how did it happen? Your puta eating your music. <Could it happen to me?> I don't keep music downloads, just YouTube links, but I guess it could happen to text documents as well. Tell me it was through some mistake of your own and not a freak puta accident!

Song forShaney's friend - who does have a friend to lean on.

cat burglar I

cat burglar II

ca-... sorry, sh1tehawk burglar

hahaha...that's got to be a Wooly ********* :o)

my puta never had any problems until this site started beggaring about neti...like you, it closes the internet, crashes the whole thing or generally slows other sites down....it's making me wonder whether to come back to it with a new set up, but there are plenty of techno wizards on here & surely someone would have discovered anything serious by now.... wouldn't they?

Afternoon peeps.
Anybody know if you can make the brush bigger in paint ? Ive done this piccy but its soooo hard. And the site I use Art.com isnt working..yo (:O)
