(This is a rerun of a question I asked a while back in the main category. Didn't get any replies there - could it be that the real buffs dwell in subcategories only? Sorry to be such a pain in the proverbial but I really want that poster - if indeed it exists.)

I used to own a black-and-white photo postcard from a Martha Graham production where dancer Merce Cunningham comes flying through the air in one giant leap. A woman (Graham?) sits at her desk in a jaded pose studying his flight toward her as if she were assessing his flying techniques rather than anticipating his company. Cunningham's body is cram full with energy, he's like a spring just released; looking at the picture you feel he must surely bounce once he lands.

I'd love to have this photo on my wall as a poster but haven't been able to find it. I'm good at advanced googling but search engines do provide different results in different countries - so if you're in the mood for some googling and you don't live in Sweden...

not only was that a 10, it was faster than Rolf Harris, Vinny Van Gogh

I like your sense of colour and composition, Vinny. Your Woolacombe beach drawings will always be my ♥ ones because your love for where you live really shines through, but the abstract one entitled Meddle and the still life In Bloom are my favourites artistically. I gave you high ratings so please dont send- ...uh-oh, too late - splat! Yesterday I saw a piece of ceramic art, it was a "sculpture" of a seagull's head mounted on the wall like a moose head... ha ha ha, have a guess, biddies, do you suppose my thoughts wandered to our Vinny or not... You say on that site you don't like unmade-beds-art so much but here's one to make you change your mind about that, beautiful isn't it. So sorry I don't know the name of the painter, it was on a Turkish site and I couldn't make out what was what.

(PS. The landing bird's a snow goose actually.)
I actually like seagulls . I have a collection of seagull stuff .. one being a lovely brooch in the shape of a seagull.Years ago I went to see a film when I was at school .I cannot remember the title . It was about a boy who lived on Tower Bridge and he befriended this seagull . We were treated to this cinema outing by my old schoolfriends parents .I shall have to ask her what the title was .My memory is failing .Anyway ..I digress . have you ever read Jonathan Livingstone Seagull kit ? It's a lovely book .I would love to be a seagull and swoop and dive around .I often watch them and they are quite fascinating .
They still pee me off when when they poop down the back of your jacket though !!!

Nope, yet another book I haven't read, Shaney. I read an awful lot as a child and as a teenager but the truth is I don't, anymore, since the internet entered my life. I enjoy the interactiveness and the stumbling upon one thing while looking for another. Last Friday I received a letter from a childhood friend who was hoping I'd join her used-book circle - you send one book and receive 36... and that sounded like a nightmare to me! To some degree this has to do with what we'll mercifully euphemize as my... erm... compact living. (You wouldn't believe how compact.) I force myself to throw most books away after reading them, but before I accepted having to do that I almost perished under tons of books. And now I still have this dream that one day I'll be rich and I'll have plenty of rooms and one of them will be the library and - here it comes - barrister's bookcases will cover the walls from the floor to the ceiling, you know, the bookcase with glass doors which slide under the shelves when you open them... here

Oh and I'll be thin.

The film: I thought about Kes at first, but that one was about a boy who befriended a falcon, wasn't it?

I've just been out, and I met a rat. We stared at each other. I didn't befriend it.

I just checked in on Vincent in his studio again - the Labyrinth woman is very good, Vinny. Have you ever worked with real paint and canvas, or a sketchbook outdoors?

Evening, dawgs. About that rat I met last night... look what happened here in Stockholm the other day

Neti the Labyrinth woman (or at least I see it like a woman, seen from behind) is among the other drawings, although it wasn't when Vinny first posted the link, but now it is. Just click under the beach drawing where it says Artist: Vinny 100 and you'll land in the studio. It's fascinating to watch the drawings being drawn.

time to check your karma now
