I have my Colonoscopy tomorrow, I have just sat down to my first glass of "Kleen-Prep"

I have put this in Body & Soul as I feel this would be most appropriate as I think my body and soul will soon be exiting through my bottom.

I wasn't warned about just how foul this liquid is, and I have to drink four Ltrs of this gunk tonight!!

Well actually it says I can also take it through my nose with a tube, I tried but it just makes me sneeze and makes my eyes water.

Wish me luck guys, apparently (according to Billy Connolly) this stuff was developed by NASA, I'm preparing for take off! :-(

4th glass gone, I'm now feeling sick from eating too many Jelly Babies and my insides are starting to feel a little volcanic. :-(
Hello RATTER - you poor thing - shouldn't happen to a dog, should it. (((HUGS))) from me - I know Carakeel won't mind☺ Don't worry about the jelly babies. Were they Bassetts, btw? No worries - you will be doing all sorts soon ♥
Carakeel, under no circumstances take him out for a meal .. straight home .. windows open lol! Hows it going Ratter? Oh .. seems it's working! Tally ho! ;0)
Question Author
Yes they are Bassets actually, still making me feel sick though!!

Thanks ttfn and everyone else :-)
Once it is done you will be OK, Mrask was so hungry when we got home, he had a wash and out for fish and chips. I have to say I was rather nervous about him suddenly leaving me mid chip so to speak but he was fine.
Just keep telling yourself it will soon be over, RATTER. No wonder it is the female sex who have babies ;o)
Lots of luck Ratter, thank heavens for humour.
Thinking of you Ratter.

At least picolax tried to have an attempt at some sort of lemon flavour.

What time is it for tomorrow?

You'll be windy tomorrow night and friday. xx
'mid chip' - ROFL here. gran, never leave AB - your postings are absolutely ruddy priceless ♥

10.30 tomorrow Alba, I think this is going to be a long night :-(
You'll be fine RATTER. The Mrs will look after you xx Let us know how you get on
at least it's the morning ratter. My OH had an afternoon appointment once, nasty :(

Just enjoy the belly-jabies. Can you drink a beef-flavoured hot drink, (bovril or the like) ?

This time tomorrow night you'll be wondering why you were apprehensive.

PS Don't eye up the nurses x
Seriously though RATTER, do be careful what you eat after your procedure. When I accompanied my late sister to Hammersmith hospital for her by-pass op I couldn't eat much and lost 2 stones in 2 weeks. Upon our return home I cooked a 'light' meal for both of us. She was ok but I was a follower of Trotsky :o(
The darkest hour is just before the dawn - but probably you will have lost some colour by then x

ROFL, ttfn! This is going to be a long, long night, I think. Still, at least tomorrow he won't have to drink any more of this gunk! Thank you all for being so supportive to my ratter. He is a darling and a very good patient, thankfully!!
He's in safe hands Carakeel. All the best for tomorrow x
been there done that in the States - at least they knocked me out, two polyps and the all clear. I am due a second one now so thanks for reminding me to initiate it ......

You don't feel much - the worst part is what you have to undergo now.

And despite MrAsk's answer to hunger (thx gran), I wouldnt advocate rebooting the system with fish and chips - keep your diet reasonably light - if I recall, I had some pasta with chicken and tomatos etc with a smal green salad.
Best of Luck. 4 Litres? How? Hope all goes well.
Hi Carakeel x Obviously, Verdi never had to have a colonoscopy cocktail ;o)
