I am on a downer again today! Fed up with being bloated, not necessarily feeling windy pops.
What do you do to keep your bowels working x (lol)

If I miss one day, out come the sennokots. Feel so unfortable today.
Fybogel regularly can help.
I agree about Fybogel.

It takes a couple of days to work its way through, but boy do have a good clearout!
also make sure you drink plenty of water.

I do drink quite a lot of water, also tea and coffee.
i also buy the accasional carton of prune juice + prunes with custard.
Fibrogelsounds good, will buy some tomorrow to see if that works to keep me regular and stop the bloating.
I 'go' several times a day, and I go for a wee much more often. It can be inconvenient.

Now and again I can go every day, but suddenly it all stops and then I'm bunged up again. Cant keep to a regular pattern.
(Cant believe I'm talking about my bowels)

Eat wholemeal bread, a bowl of All Bran or porridge for breakfast, and plenty of fruit & veg.
Taking sennakot to regularly can make you worse
Fybogel doesn't work for everyone - it bungs me up!
Have you tried lactulose? Available OTC and you can take it daily long term with no affects to your bowel
A glass of OJ in the morning, and plenty of fruit and WATER! Best thing for keeping everything inside tickety boo

Many thanks for all replies and will read them agaIn after I have my dinner.
Tch! Its so frustrating as I do try to eat properly --porridge to start my day etc.
When I was a carer I had my lovely ole ladies on Lactulose, and it did wonders for them, so it must be ok for me. Thanks again ABers xx

I don't normally have that problem but if ever I do, a very hot cup of tea and a banana ate with it normally does the trick.

i have had 2 very long walks in the last week, walked for miles and miles.

I also have 2 big mugs of hot tea in the morning before i ever attempt to go in the bathroom. Feel like giving up some times, haha
I have weetabix every morning.
