I bought large Christmas pudding last year and heated it in the slow cooker as I do every year, but no one wanted any, so when it was cold I wrapped it in geaseproof paper and foil, will it be ok to heat it up again this year?

A very good point Tony. If they didn't want it last year maybe try a different pudding or don't bother. In this house after Christmas lunch everyone is stuffed and no room for pudding
Birds & squirrels would love the old pud and the saved brandy can be used for a new xmas pud.

thanks, the reason nobody wanted any was that as usual I loaded the table up to much to start with, and also made an apple pie, stupid for a woman who hates waste, will it be safe to eat if I heat it again? that's my main concern, I would rather give it to the birds if it could make someone ill.
I wouldnt chance it. Feed it to wildlife
I alway thought that re-heating up in a slow cooker is not recommended.

I think in this case I would give it to the birds :)
If it has any animal products in it (it probably has eggs) I wouldn`t want to touch it. I would bin it and get another (smaller) one.
Tamborine / all yes all animals and birds love food but you need to feed them regularly

ok, the birds it is, I will wish them happy Christmas when I throw it out, apple pie it is then, and maybe a trifle? no on second thoughts best learn my lesson and cut down.
Not so Tony, theyre grateful for any feeds, especially in winter.

Take photos, you should see some interesting wildlife, and you might get a winning shot ;)
Ok tambers accept your knowledge, I was just told that in a cold winter, birds would keep to a feeding point, and if it went they could then starve to death
Not so, birds etc will raid berries etc.

Just press it out into a nice ball - it should make a bleddy good bowling ball for ten-pin or crown bowling - or you could flatten it a bit, stick a handle in, and use it as a curling stone if you are in Salmondland.

Look at it. Is it furry ? I'd be surprised if it had gone off.
Unsure why you'd want to slow cook it though, it was cooked last year. Steam or microwave it ?
If you put it in the microwave to reheat a Christmas pudding - be warned, you only need a few seconds. I will never forget my mother setting fire to the microwave with a pudding inside it....
Boxtops, setting fire to a Xmas pud does happen....say no more lol
