Fray Bentos Steak And Kidney Pie ....

wish me luck. I bought the above in a harvest festival mix-up, and now i hve to eat it. It smells like cat food and the only thing i know about them is my granny used to eat them!

I bought one a few years back for old time sake, GROSS!!! I used to love them!
as somebody said - there is nothing only gravy - I used to love them but not now
You must spoil your cat something rotten.
Darn, folk saying that they've changed makes me want to check. That'd ruin the diet.
My wife and I absolutely love them.
Yuk!!! I would not eat one of these even if you paid me.
I used to love them yrs ago, especially the lovely crispy pastry.
I'm afraid I'm in the bin toss camp.

I tried one about a year ago, just for old times sake but just couldn't stomach it.
Even the usually unfussy dog looked at me as if I was joking, when I offered it to him.
They are made by Baxters these days, 12% beef and 9% pork kidney, so it's 27% pastry, 21% 'meat' and gawd knows what makes up the other 52%
Had them as a child and loved them bought one to revisit my youth but it just went straight in the bin!

and that included the sunny delight drink as well ( which the dog really loved )
I well remember one 'Summer Sports Day' at my lower school, when they was used as a substitute for the discus, when the real ones couldn't be found.
They worked fine and left a good sized dent in the turf.
Thirty or so years ago when I was living alone I virtually lived on them,tried one a couple of years back and it was awfull,just a pie crust full of gravy.
The steak & kidney PUD (not pie) is OK in fact I like them, also very quick to heat , just 1&1/2 mins in the microwave.
Typhoid pie all the way from Uruguay back in 1964, the bowels of Aberdeen seriously suffering.
