Mustard-For Or Against.

I quite enjoy mustard with my eats.The people i work with say they wouldnt have mustard on anything,they would rather starve.I go through a large pot a month.Anyone else on here a mustard fan?

Nope - funny thing, I do buy it from time to time, have a little with cold meats and eventually jar gets binned - what a waste!

Not a mustard fan, however someone from my old workplace used to make cheese scones that had mustard in them, I rather enjoyed then. I may not be a fan of mustard, however I wouldn't starve* just to avoid eating it.

*Yeah, I know it's just a saying, but hey-ho!

Mr M is like you and eats it with most meals. Regular English mustard.

I never bother with it, but when I do have the odd dot of wholegrain on cheese on toast I do enjoy it.

I`m a big mustard fan. I`ve got 6 or 7 different types in the kitchen. I use it in cooking as well.

Mustard in cheese scones or cheese sauce brings out the flavour of the cheese.
I like American mustard or French mustard if I am going to have anything

Yes I am. I like all sorts of mustard and regularly add to mash potatoes, in sandwiches and of course macaroni cheese.

@17.25.No,with me it always has to be Colmans.The powdered stuff is excellent in macaroni or pasta dishes.The stuff in jars for everything else.

Like Red, American or French, or a bit of wholegrain. Definitely not English, though I will put a blob in a cheese sauce for macaroni or cauliflower.

Dijon is reckoned to be the best,rocky.However it just doesnt seem to have the same tang as Colmans.Its the tang that comes from Colmans mustard that i like.

Not a fan of mustard on a sandwich etc. but I do use it in cooking, someone has already mentioned mustard mash.

ynnaf, tbh, I cook using quite a bit of mustard but rarely eat it as a condiment. I use Colman's Old English dry mustard as a rub on big beef joints (superb) and always add the same to any cheese sauce and savoury pastries such as cheese straws and scones, as Red said above.

I will add a modicum of made mustard to ham or beef sandwiches, OH prefers French mustard. I wouldn't be without Colman's in the cupboard:)

Yep, I love mustard but don’t eat it often, usually just in a ham sandwich, or in a honey mustard sauce type thing, and like Helen says, always in cheese sauce.

Oh yes, English on beef, ham and bacon, dijon with roast pork , American on hot dogs but German on frankfurters, and wurst type sausages. Has to be the right mustard for the right food

I like the dark French mustard with steak and use Colman's English mustard powder in a variety of things. I also use mustard seeds when making curries.

@17.47.Try it on a ham sandwich,zebo.Once you try it on a ham sandwich you will never eat a ham sandwich without mustard ever again.
