I'm trying to think of something that I can easily do a meat and non-meat version of as I personally don't think its a proper meal if it doesn't have meat in it so don't want to cook an all-veggie meal but don't want to do something totally different for the veggie - any ideas please? Thanks

Curry would be the easiest option....
well then salmon - or perhaps you dont like oily fish too
Yep ...

Gobble allo sac

Book two for Karen and I then.
I dont like curry - they all taste the bloody same.
Well tonight I had tuna steaks...and cockle popcorn...and it was lush.
what's cockle popcorn when it's at home...?
yes I am interested - not into popcorn or cockles but I am supposing it is something different....
A chickpea and spinach curry..or sweet potato/butternut squash curry...done in a creamy coconut sauce.

and all curries do not taste all the same...they vary by region.
If you like the Curry idea, everybody would have the same if in the curry you used Soya Mince instead of meat. The meat eaters will will enjoy it. I know because when I was a youngster I was a Veggie for 10 years. It's tastiness of a dish that matters; not what's in it.

It's cockles...Seen it on one of the cookery programmes..

they do in most UK Indian restaurants...admittedly one of my fav restaurants in London is the Tamarind which carries a M star - and that food is a wonderful cornucopia of taste.

I feel the same about Thai in the UK (and have been many times to both countries and tasted many of the originals and in fact Thai I am not a huge fan overall). Now, genuine Szechuan (Sichuan sp) you are talking........
That looks nice, ummmm!

Thanks for all your help, advice and comments - other than the slightly snarky ones from DT that I am rather mystified by....
Al, if I'm going to have that then I expect to be stuffed full :)

Have any of you made your own naan bread? Is it worth it or should I stick with my usual M&S garlic naans?
No worries there then Karen.
My portions are reasonably large.

xx
Jolly good - I have a very healthy appetite ;)
they are sarky bushbaby as out of hand you dismiss some suggestions, and then it becomes apparent that you had likes and dislikes that you did not mention in your original specs that would have helped the positioning of advice.......

Comprenez?
DT - everyone has likes and dislikes. Is bushbaby supposed to list every food she/he doesn't like? You seem to be taking this awful personally.
Question Author
Yes he's taking it very personally as well as being unnecessarily rude. Terribly sorry my question was not up to your exacting standards, you'll know to ignore them in future.
