smelly carpet shampooer
I have a bissell carpet shampooer which is absolutely the bees knees. It is easy to use and really gets my filthy dog-defiled carpets clean again. The only trouble is that while I do clean it after use and let it dry in the air before putting it away, it is beginning to smell, I guess because some dirty water is always left inside it somewhere. has anyone else had this problem and found a solution to it please?
TIA

....Having just cleaned the front door down and washed the porch floor over from what looked as if a giant pterodactyl had cript all down it and all over the place . Bloomin' seagull I expect .
Failing that it's a lovely sunny day here ,bit breezy and I hope you are all Ok .

That's useful Robi, because the screw fix key start mountfield is the same as the j l one. Where I got stuffed with the current mower is that it was a special for b and q who have dropped it so no spares available.
Round me the screw fix lunchtime mob are all old farts with beer bellies (so I am told)

oh that's a shame woofy, the last time I was in there I thought I'd died and gone to diy heaven...mind you, that was before I kicked the hrt. The life size cardboard Alan Tichmarsh in B&Q was attractive when I was on that stuff. :o)
It's very pleasant here at the moment too and I've been pottering, pulling up forget-me-nots mostly...and watching the pterodactyl's flying east :o)

Morning all...cold and dull, really don't want rain, it's mowerer's day.
Welcome back Lottie, I'm pleased you enjoyed your holiday but it looks like you'll be seeing a lot more water for the next few weeks.
I felt better for being outside yesterday woofy but I paid later. I'm not sure whose hands these are but they don't feel like mine :o/

When did you go to St Petersburg Neti. It is full of rich young people and very cosmopolitan. So is Moscow!! But Moscow has so much history and so much more in the way of seeing buildings over an 800 year history and, apart from the Kremlin/Red Square area is really scruffy and the whole road system is being developed so it's a nightmare - the traffic just does it's own thing!!
We didn't see many older people in either city, or in the small villages we went too. We are wondering where they have been hidden away!!!!
St Petersburg only has a couple of Orthodox cathedrals and one was built in the 1930's. I liked it, but it compares to Venice and Paris in my opinion. There were much fewer soviet tower blocks.
Must go shopping, the cupboards are bare!!!

A meagre 11C here and I did run the heating through when I got back from the shops, I was frozen. Grass has been done, shame I won't be sitting out there watching it grow again.
