smelly carpet shampooer

I have a bissell carpet shampooer which is absolutely the bees knees. It is easy to use and really gets my filthy dog-defiled carpets clean again. The only trouble is that while I do clean it after use and let it dry in the air before putting it away, it is beginning to smell, I guess because some dirty water is always left inside it somewhere. has anyone else had this problem and found a solution to it please?
TIA

haha, so they received the RHS vouchers I sent then neti?... cackle

well, I've got tennis elbow, housemaids knee and ailments yet to be named but it's now a sugar free zone. I think I might chuck this bucket of water over someone.... any trolls around?
oh that's right, it's Open Garden weekend isn't it. I think we're devoting the day to putting our own closed garden into order. We do have an open garden weekend in our neighbourhood every couple of years (not this year) but only those with street access can be opened, and ours hasn't got any.
You can chuck it over me Robinia and I'll chuck mine backatcha :)
....Having just cleaned the front door down and washed the porch floor over from what looked as if a giant pterodactyl had cript all down it and all over the place . Bloomin' seagull I expect .
Failing that it's a lovely sunny day here ,bit breezy and I hope you are all Ok .

That's useful Robi, because the screw fix key start mountfield is the same as the j l one. Where I got stuffed with the current mower is that it was a special for b and q who have dropped it so no spares available.
Round me the screw fix lunchtime mob are all old farts with beer bellies (so I am told)
oh that's a shame woofy, the last time I was in there I thought I'd died and gone to diy heaven...mind you, that was before I kicked the hrt. The life size cardboard Alan Tichmarsh in B&Q was attractive when I was on that stuff. :o)

It's very pleasant here at the moment too and I've been pottering, pulling up forget-me-nots mostly...and watching the pterodactyl's flying east :o)

Robi you are sounding better! It's cold and grey here.
Rain, rain, rain, I don't mind, just wish it was winter!!!
yikes, we're on amber alert for rain here. Shouldn't affect me personally as I live on a hilltop (actually, it's the top of what was the Thames riverbank 10,000 years ago, many miles from where the Thames is now), but the garden drains had better be working.
We are back!! Just calling in to let you know. Will try to catch up later today and will send you some photos by email.

St Petersburg is lovely but very European. Moscow was far more 'Russian' and much more interesting. Cruise was wonderful - food was wonderful. Will tell you more later.

Morning all...cold and dull, really don't want rain, it's mowerer's day.

Welcome back Lottie, I'm pleased you enjoyed your holiday but it looks like you'll be seeing a lot more water for the next few weeks.

I felt better for being outside yesterday woofy but I paid later. I'm not sure whose hands these are but they don't feel like mine :o/
glad it all went well, Lottie, don't forget to show us your holiday films

Morning all, morning lottie, how strange, we found St Petersburg very Russian and poor and Moscow very European and stiletto shoes (the women)!!
Glum day here, I am going back home and I do not want to! Have to buy a new very lightweight hand luggage case, they are £30, but weigh nothing (but will soon be bulging!) My flight isn't until 22.30 so time to get into trouble yet!
When did you go to St Petersburg Neti. It is full of rich young people and very cosmopolitan. So is Moscow!! But Moscow has so much history and so much more in the way of seeing buildings over an 800 year history and, apart from the Kremlin/Red Square area is really scruffy and the whole road system is being developed so it's a nightmare - the traffic just does it's own thing!!

We didn't see many older people in either city, or in the small villages we went too. We are wondering where they have been hidden away!!!!

St Petersburg only has a couple of Orthodox cathedrals and one was built in the 1930's. I liked it, but it compares to Venice and Paris in my opinion. There were much fewer soviet tower blocks.

Must go shopping, the cupboards are bare!!!
Have a good journey Neti.

I never want to go to St Petersburg Airport again!! It was a complete nightmare on Saturday. And I never want to be driven along Moscow roads again in a clapped out car with a mad Russian driver - but that is another nightmare story!!

Hello all
One in one out :) Welcome back Lottie to wild and wintery Norfolk .I hope you bought a fur cossack hat on your travels gal because by the look of it out there you may need it !
Safe journey home Neti .If I see a plane going over which is tipping sideways from overloaded suitcases I'll know you're on it :)
Nothing doing here .Well what can you do in this foul weather . I'm having toast and Bovril atm and thinking about putting the heating on ...
take care all ,see you later .
Hi again all of you.

Just looked at the weather in Moscow 25 degrees and sunny, and St P is 19 degrees and raining. In North Norfolk it is 12 degrees, raining and bloomin' miserable. I need that furry hat Shaney!!

Love the dancing Cossacks jno!!

Am about to send you a few phones. It may take me a bit of time. All my photos are in a muddle!!!!

A meagre 11C here and I did run the heating through when I got back from the shops, I was frozen. Grass has been done, shame I won't be sitting out there watching it grow again.
Oh dear, I meant to say photos, not phones!!

Please could someone email a list of current email addresses for all of you - I have got in a complete muddle. xx
