What else can i do????
Hi i have recently put posts about my ex partner assaulting me - he swears he didnt touch me and didnt have knife to me. The thing is im not actually sure what happend! Ive been over and over it thousand times but its still not clear! Ive spoke to IDVA and loads of other people but nobody seems interested! Im currently suffering from anxiety and depression so they are just saying its because of that that im confused but i can read my original statement before court - i dont think this is fair surly if im not clear what happend he can not be still charged!
Any advice would be great about what else i can do!
Thanks

Hi confused,
I've briefly gone over the link that sara posted and it seems you did see prety sure then.......so what gives?.
If your b/f has punched you, put a knife to you and threatened your life, he is'nt going to change if you're seriously thinking of taking him back. Did you take in ANY advice on the thread you posted on friday night?
Men like that, who are abusive to women, wont change unless they REALLY want too....they're pretty much scum...nothing more nothing less......if you change your story or he gets off and comes back to you, you may not be so lucky next time when he flips his piggin' lid....i do hope you understand what i'm saying to you, confused..............best of luck to you whatever you decide to remember and do......but PLEASE.....think about yourself FIRST....ok? x

What your statement said could be vital as well.
How did you express what happened in that? Did you state things definitely happened you are now not sure of or were other things taken into account when charging him, separate to your statement eg witnesses and medical evidence?
Do you know how he is intending to plead? I assume not guilty. Don't the CPS make the decision as to whether to prosecute on the case put to them?
Always remember the whole perjury thing, if you tell the truth then no-one can take that away from you.
Also take into account the potential ramifications of an incorrect or misleading statement or something in it which might discredit other things you might say and make the case weaker against him for things you are sure of.
Have you taken legal advice?
