It was lovely and warm and sunny here but we'reback to rain now :(

wafts smelling salts under neti's nose...can't have you flaking out in here ole gal. I absolutely dread ever fainting in public because it makes me sick...and vice versa.
The wimbledon ladies final is still on...it doesn't interest me as much as the men's. Serena Williams won the first set, she's working harder to keep up now though.

Fish finger on the mantelpiece...okaaaayyy woofy, it's original. How about an alternative chandelier...who lives in a house with this I wonder?

Damn, was watching mixed doubles and now I've lost the piccy altogether, hope we get the men's final tomorrow. Can't get the Ladies final at all!!
It wasn't an actual fish finger Robi, it was a bit of the box. I was carrying them in from the freezer in the garage and a bit of the box fell off so I put it up on the mantelpiece to stop the dogs getting it.
This is the chandelier

I bought it from Amazon luckily, they do free returns.
although I do like that bottle one.....
that's a bit small, isn't it? Where's your ambition?

Well, I have been asleep for most of the day. Really awful thunder storms and Fak..... got flooded.

Take care Neti. I felt faint in the garden the other day and went all hot and woozy. A couple of ginger biscuits and a cuppa sorted it. I have only fainted once and that was when I lost half my blood!! In fact I kept fainting and being brought round. It was horrible.

I have sent that chandelier link to my son Woofy. It really is 'him', especially if he used real ale bottles!!! They have a TV room which is set up rather like a 'snug' . It would look great in there!!

Am off to have a shower and then cook us a meal.
Ooooh, sorry, it was Robi's link.
hasn't rained at all here... in fact the camel's looking so parched I may have to give him a lemonade.

Not that I'd want you thinking it's warm or sunny or anything, it isn't.
That's it, bed time. I put more stuff in the attic today, filtered my blueberry liqueur but it might need a final polish, made some christmas cards and generally pottered. Oight oight all.

It's been lovely here all day . Sorry you had the rain up there Lofty .Though it'll probably sneak this way in the night .At least I got me grass cut .
Went to Lidls .Came back to find Mr S in a panic with the dishwasher which wasn't pumping water down the drain but over the floor ......It was blocked somewhere ..good job Picky was here so he fiddled about and got it going again and am just sitting here waiting for it to chug round .
It's amazing the amount of muck you find when you pull these machines out :)
Hope you feel better now Neti after your dizzy whizzies .
I didn't know that Sarumite had had his hip done .Give him my best wishes .
Love the chandelier . Love you all ..Oight Oight .

Hahaa ,I just looked at the bottle chandelier ..I bet Vinnys already got one :)...
In each room !
Years ago I had a friend who had a friend who was a junkie. His drug of choice was phenergan and he had made a huge global lampshade by sticking all the bottle tops together. It must have taken him ages.....
Oight oight.

It never ceases to amaze me how some people broadcast quite happily on this site every detail of their marital problems, etc. and that people quite happily give them advice and tell them how awful their spouse is without knowing either of them.

Love all you biddies.

(I have been watching the Shakespeare. I must admit to liking Shakespeare!)
I know lottie, I thought the same....sad that some people seem to have no one else to talk to as well.
it can backfire to say too much too. Someone posted on here about how her daughter could have her baby on the due date "for family reasons" She got advice about curries and bumpy roads, the usual stuff. Anyway then on the radio i heard a shout out yesterday for a family whose daughter was flying back from Oz for a short holiday and hopefully to be in the U for the birth of her niece or nephew. ooo thinks I, I wonder if that's that woman who posted on AB, cos if it is I now know her real name...
Anyway enough of that. we are wet but drying fast. Dogs smell lovely and clean.
and as usual I am sleeeepy.
the UK's a big place; I think anonymity is pretty much safe. There must be hundreds of people expecting babies or fretting about feckless husbands.

Lordy, it was hosing it down last night. I hope all the gays on the streets of Soho didn't end up as wets. It seems to have stopped now. We are expecting a state visit by jno jnr and gf. I think they were planning to go somewhere and decdied against because fo the weather, so lunch with us came to seem like a useful fallback option.

Just got an Art Pass in the mail too

http://www.artfund.org/index.php

They had it on special, free for three months; took two weeks to arrive but that still gives me 10 weeks to rush around seeing Art free or discounted.

Morning all
Had some rain overnight but nothing floodlike .Just been watching several blackbirds in the garden stripping the berries off a tree .
I don't mind giving an anecdote about how to shift a lazy baby but I keep out of all the angsty relationship stuff .
sometimes people need a bit of late-night comfort and encouragement to look after themselves. My advice is always that you can't change others, only yourself.

Did you see this picture?

I'm sure I can see Norfolk under there somewhere
Morning all...damp and dull
it never ceases to amaze me how some people rehash old jokes as actual life events, haha.

Yes shaney, the floods are terrible, what the hell's happening to the world? And did I hear that the US have exceptionally high temperatures?.... goes to look....

Right, I'm just going to give my cousin in London a call and see if he's got a cherub living next door :)
Morning all, I will share with you the fact that it is Mr N's birthday, but do not want any advice on it, thank you.

Not much doing, he ius watching the tv, I am in bed , we will go for a nice lunch, and then I will be back in bed, he doesn't "do" birthdays", there, that's the angst!
my bloop pressure is low, 110/77, and I take tablets cos it is high, is this Ok probably why I fainted yesterday, shall I eat some salt or leave it?
