Seems like the guy who was attacked did nothing more than walk past minding his own business, unless of course someone can find a link with more info.

The edl claim to be 'Peacefully protesting against militant Islam' Shame no one thought to tell this guy that.

JTH.....quite.....!!
Nothing to add to the general sentiment here...but just thought it'd be a good time to resurrect this marvellous little clip for anyone who hasn't had the pleasure in watching it before.

Perhaps you should have been a little clearer on which you were meaning ?
JTH.....it wasn't the meaning that i was questioning, but the inaccuracy of the quote.................the meaning being quite another thing.
Oh good God, Sp, How annoying is he!!!!!
Hasn't a bloomin' clue what he is talking about, the uneducated prat!
jno took an inference from the quote that is quite apparent in the original.

Like I said, if you don't want to be misunderstood, perhaps you would be better ensuring that there is no room for such in your posts...
I am English, and I'm normally quite proud to be English, but I don't ever recall asking for a bunch of Neanderthals to defend me!

(I say normally quite proud to be English because of "people" like those in the video)
Safiya

Were they REALLY quotes from the EDL Facebook page?

Seriously?

Because if so, there's an argument for setting up a new pressure group...the English Language Defence League...because what the EDL are doing is murdering it in cold blood.
JTH...an inference from a perceived quote and a quote may well be two different things.......as it seems to be in this case.

In my opinion MY statement was perfectly clear....in that you are an exception and jno misquoted me ( I wonder why?)
Chuckfickens

Don't worry - the EDL are as much representative of the British as the Taliban is representative of Muslims or the Westboro Baptist Church is representative of Christians.
Because, naturally, you, having written it, read it one way......and jno and I read it differently.....

Why ?

Because it is ambiguously written, possibly ?
JTH...you really don't get it do you?

I am NOT questioning my perceived ambiguity........I AM questioning jno's misquote of my quote.
I do get it...........jno isn't quoting your quote.......jno is stating what jno inferred your quote to mean........

Do *you* now understand ?
oh dear, sorry you've taken ambridge, Sqad, but perhaps you'd care to explain what a racist/non racist comment is then? What's a racist comment? What's a non racist comment? Is a racist/non racist comment somehow both at once, or what?
Jesus, this still going on?

Not that it really matters or any one cares, but my take on the last couple of days kerfuffles in news is that (now this really pains me to say this as I do consider her a friend, she might think otherwise after reading this...) Is that Jack deliberately posted the thread about this topic yesterday in an attempt to goad AOG into a row. As it happens it got and and doc embroiled in it instead, AOG, probably quite wisely decided to keep out of it. I personally found the post distasteful reading and reported it as such. I obviously wasn't on my own in this thinking as it soon disappeared.

Safia's duplicate posting is innocent enough, but it seems to have regurgitated yesterdays arguments- it really does make boring reading folks.

Sorry if ive offended anyone, and once again sorry if i've got the wrong end of the stick entirely, but i really do think this way.
*sqad and doc
jno/jth..................you are perfectly correct......well done.

P.S jno/jth means jno and jth.
OMG! I simply MUST HAVE one of those 'Infidel Inside' t-shirts as per SPs YT link.
"jno/jth means jno and jth"

So racist/non racist comments means racist comments and non racist comments.

So I was right, you did think the post was intended to provoke non racist comments (and racist ones, which I didn't mention because I suspected your claim was against Site Rules and I didn't want to land you in it).

So my comment stands.

<waves to B00>
/ ?
I didn't realise a forward slash could cause so much trouble.
