Could Sharia law solve all of this ?
Christianity is the culture of this country. We are multiracial and everybody can practice his or her religion as they please.
Brenden - don't think people give a $h1t about Christianity - try asking the rioters ?
I do'nt think they give a damn about anything except themselves and what they want regardless of how they get it.

I have been looking at the ethnic breakdown of Hackney which is
59% White 20% black and 21% Asian.
However several reporters and witnesses are saying the majority of the rioters are Afro/Caribbian .
Assuming that is correct what conclusion can we draw ?
modeller - so ? I am waiting for some answers to your last message ?

Anyone got the guts ?
modeller - can you find the ethnic breakdown of 15-25's in that area? The majority of trouble makers will fall into this age group so if you're going to draw valid conclusions it would have to be from a more precise group.
Think you're on a hiding to nothing here AoG, I get your point but there are people who will pull it to pieces to push through their own philosophy on a subject. I think it's always going to be a case of agree to disagree because people have made their own minds up and won't be swayed by argument - we can all be like that though.
Multiculturalism? Has to work from both sides of the fence. Sometimes it seems that the residents of the host country have to make more effort than those who adopt a country to live in. That doesn't make for harmony and people become frustrated that some residents will not go half way to ensuring multiculturalism works.
Have you ever been on the receiving end of racism daisya?
Yes Ummmm unfortunately I have!
Oh...so you're an ethnic minority? Sorry, didn't realise.
Where are you from daisya?
so have i, from a number of black people, unhappy i was dating one of their own, how feckin pathetic is that. This whole scenario makes me angry, we have to live here, the politicians when its their time to leave, will waft off to Tuscany, or America like Blair and make even more money, and those down here will be left to fend for themselves.
Now your posts and angry nature makes sense. You do realize that not all blacks are bad or racist right em10?
I was born in England and everyone wherever they are, in whatever part of the world is open to racial abuse or intoerance. I do not condone it nor practise it but it happens and yet it is not always the answer as to WHY things happen in the way they do. Sometimes it's used for a means to an end and I abhor anyone doing that.
How right you are em.
So you're white English?

So you haven't had the same experience as many of the ethnic minorities. The ones who have experienced racism on a daily basis and then told by the likes of you that they should make more effort to integrate?
-- answer removed --
ummmm don't make assumptions!!!!!! Don't accuse me of telling people they should make more effort to integrate!!!!!!!

I've done no such thing, my opinion is that EVERYONE should make an effort. My philosophy is that there is not enough room on our island to take in every person from the world, nothing to do with racism, it's to do with quantity be they black, white, yellow, green and any other hue you may wish to introduce onto this thread!
