...and I'd also suggest that it's pointless worrying too much about how people "come over" on a forum. No two people ever read the same post the same way. For example I find EUSSR not hilarious but, by now, predictable and a little dull :-)

As for the funeral, I'll admit that the concern I expressed over the money spent on it on a previous thread was wrong. It's really not a huge amount that's significant enough to get worked up over.

I do, however, still disagree with the funeral in principal. I'm by and large very supportive of the major decisions Thatcher took, but the culture of fawning sycophancy and adulation surrounding her funeral was extremely cringey.

imo they can just drop blair over iraq or afghanistan for target practise. he did zilch worthwhile for this country. at least maggie saved us a lot of money. blair would have claimed it all on his expenses if he could.
