Gromit is a Mod but I doubt he or any of the other Mods have the ability to edit posts and if the Ab Editor thinks the removed post should be re-instated then it will be. I would also think that a Mod would not remove a post about themsel but would leave that to one of the others but I am willing to be corrected on both points.

Rob, East Germany was a poor country, being rural, compared to the vastly wealthy West Germany. Granted Angela Merkel was born there but left soon enough.
So where did East German communists find the money to bankroll anything? It cost West Germany a lot to have the East joined to them. Or is this a joke which I have taken seriously?

It's hobby-horse disease, romifl. We get it on here. The symptoms are that, whatever the topic in the OP, someone will drag in their hobby-horse, whether that be Muslims, immigration, the EU, "fascism","Human Rights", Health and Safety, or anything else, of no relevance and then a) claim it is relevant b) get very upset when anyone disagrees and c) claim that they are victims of our prejudice and say that they have as much right to express an opinion as anyone else because this is still a free country, just.
