Apparently the reason that he didn't turn up in Port Talbot was :::::

" It took me six hours and 15 minutes to get here - it should have taken three-and-a-half to four. That is nothing to do with professionalism, what it does have to do with is a population that is going through the roof chiefly because of open-door immigration and the fact that the M4 is not as navigable as it used to be."

What on earth has immigration to do with the M4 being busy ? Wouldn't that be the same for every road in Britain ? The M4 into South Wales was designed in the 1960's and there have been many calls for it to upgraded. Its always even busier on a Friday afternoon.

So we are all now expected to believe that traffic jams are caused by immigrants ? Really ?

There are some people on here that will no doubt say... "there he goes again, having a go at UKIP" but with own goals like this, is it any wonder that Farage and Co are so ridiculed ?

By the way, has complete insanity broken out in South Wales in the last few days ? Apparently 100 UKIP supporters paid £25 each to see this man. I am in Cornwall at present and I have phoned home but all the relatives that I have spoken to still appear to have complete control of their senses.

Mind you, I don't live in Port Talbot ...bit too posh for me !

Forgot to ask, why are you ignoring all the links I've provided that concur with Farage's assertion and the Labour MPs who have pretty much endorsed those views on immigration, including the much respected Frank Field?

"Why didn't he take the train?" He said earlier this year he had been on a train going through London and folk not talking English made him uncomfortable so maybe he thought it would be full of immigrants or folk speaking Welsh.

Mr Farage lives in Downe in Kent and he can be seen regularly on the train service between London and Orpington. His remarks about foreign language speakers on trains relate to that stretch and he suggested (with some justification) that it is not until his homeward bound train has deposited its load at Grove Park that English can be heard as the dominant language.
Perhaps he should invest in a pair of wellies
Yes he did ! Read the BBC link again ::::

"what it does have to do with is a population that is going through the roof chiefly because of open-door immigration and the fact that the M4 is not as navigable as it used to be."

Quite clear.... no room for any doubt whatsoever. He couldn't have made it any clearer if he tried.

Wrong again mikey, you really do need to take in a little more of the Cornish air, you'll do yourself a mischief.
As I pointed out, over-population is and has come about as a result of the pathetic immigration policy.
As a result, the NHS is crumbling, classroom sizes at primary level are doubling in a lot of areas and thus the infrastructure of the country is unable to cope with the increases.
As ever, you've spun it into something that it isn't(just like the breastfeeding debacle) and are making a song and dance about a party you've ridiculed and rubbished at every opportunity whilst denying their inexorable rise over the last 18 months and you're obviously irked that even MP's from your own party are in concurence with Farage on a regular basis(Frank Field et al) and want their own leadership to address the issues he raises.
It's blatantly obvious you're now running scared.
How many classes have doubled in size and over what period have they done so?
So class sizes have not doubled in some areas then?
"Quite clear.... no room for any doubt whatsoever. He couldn't have made it any clearer if he tried".

Mikey, promise me you will never ever do Jury service :)
I've quantified that, read the post.

Have you got any idea/input as to why they're so unfeasibly large then, Corbyloon?
From the Daily Mail to-day, "The percentage of young pupils being educated in classes of between 31 and 35 pupils rose from 1.4 per cent in 2004 to 1.5 per cent this year.

Another 0.1 per cent of children are currently in classes of 36 or more."

A rise of 0.1 per cent over a ten-year period does not appear to be strong evidence to me.
So why do we need over an extra quarter of a million pupil places for this year alone?
You asked about the number of large classes not the number of extra places needed. You would need the figures for births in England to see what proportion were born to woman born abroad to see what number was a direct result of immigration. Not aĺl of the extra places will be the result of immigration.
Not aĺl of the extra places will be the result of immigration.

Of course not, however it is probably the biggest reason:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/education/educationnews/11083683/OECD-UK-class-sizes-among-biggest-in-developed-world.html

From link:
The disclosure will raise concerns that a rise in the birth rate combined with the effects of immigration may be placing huge pressure on schools. Experts have claimed that large classes can hamper children's education because they receive less one-to-one attention.

Elsewhere:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-2660839/NORMAN-LAMONT-The-people-spoken-mass-immigration-So-political-class-hear-them.html

From link:
For a start, many Britons, and particularly those who would traditionally be described as working class, find themselves excluded from the labour market.

In addition, the sheer scale of immigration is having a dramatic effect on the size of our population, which in turn is increasing the burden on our infrastructure.

If the influx continues at its present level, at least ten million people will be added to the population over the next 20   years.

Even now, our civic infrastructure is badly over-stretched, as reflected in the pressure on GP practices, transport, housing and schools.

Based on their own experiences, the public instinctively understand this.

They also grasp that this situation has been created partly by our membership of the EU.

Sounds about right to me!

Didn't the Farage family come from immigrants ?
Question Author
Even Boris thinks that Farage talked drivel about being late :::

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-30376684

So what do our pro-Tory and pro-UKIP ABers think now ? Boris is highly likely to be the next Tory Leader, and even he can see that Farage made a serious mistake blaming immigrants for his non-arrival at the UKIP do.
What a dreadful scandal. lol.
made a serious mistake blaming immigrants for his non-arrival at the UKIP do.
-----------
As I told you earlier, he didn't. He rather tongue in cheek pointed out that a combination of a poorly maintained motorway and heavy use of it due to over-population(exacerbated as a result of the open door immigration policy) led to his large delay, thus pointing out a crumbling infrastructure, as indicated in the Lamont post in my previous answer with link.
As already pointed out, don't ever commit to jury service mikey!
Didn't the Farage family come from immigrants ?
-------------
Indeed brionon, as did all Anglo-Saxons, the clue is in the title.
Back then though, the Vikings came raping and pillaging.
As a result of EU membership, the hordes thronging here are not met with any form of resistance, despite the governments promises and protestations.
