Farage Puts His Foot In It...again ! ( Part 257 )
http:// www.bbc .co.uk/ news/uk -wales- politic s-30370 570
Apparently the reason that he didn't turn up in Port Talbot was :::::
" It took me six hours and 15 minutes to get here - it should have taken three-and-a-half to four. That is nothing to do with professionalism, what it does have to do with is a population that is going through the roof chiefly because of open-door immigration and the fact that the M4 is not as navigable as it used to be."
What on earth has immigration to do with the M4 being busy ? Wouldn't that be the same for every road in Britain ? The M4 into South Wales was designed in the 1960's and there have been many calls for it to upgraded. Its always even busier on a Friday afternoon.
So we are all now expected to believe that traffic jams are caused by immigrants ? Really ?
There are some people on here that will no doubt say... "there he goes again, having a go at UKIP" but with own goals like this, is it any wonder that Farage and Co are so ridiculed ?
By the way, has complete insanity broken out in South Wales in the last few days ? Apparently 100 UKIP supporters paid £25 each to see this man. I am in Cornwall at present and I have phoned home but all the relatives that I have spoken to still appear to have complete control of their senses.
Mind you, I don't live in Port Talbot ...bit too posh for me !

Forgot to ask, why are you ignoring all the links I've provided that concur with Farage's assertion and the Labour MPs who have pretty much endorsed those views on immigration, including the much respected Frank Field?

There was nothing remotely tongue in cheek about his reply to a question asked by the BBC Wales Sunday Politics. I have watched the video evidence a few times and there is no sign of the smallest twinkle in Farages eye, when replying to the journalist. But if you don't believe me, and I can see that you don't, look at what Boris says about the affair :::::
He said: "Of all the excuses I've heard for being late that is one of the poorest - I mean, for a politician to turn up late for an event and blame the immigrants"
Farage is playing the immigration card, as usual. Even Boris can see it !
On a side note, I have been puzzling about the correct way to pronounce FARAGE for some time now. It was suggested on Friday's Radio Four News Quiz that it ought to rhyme with the place that you put your car, although Sandi Toksvig thought that Nigel Multi Story didn't sound quite right somehow.

Have you? Then why pray tell was he laughing as he delivered that part?
As for the Boris link, just more over sensationalism and shoddy journalism by the BBC over pretty much a non story, not dissimilar to his 'outrageous ' stance on the breastfeeding story, where most of the public actually concurred with him.
Can you hear that noise? It's the sound of the other parties running scared and the barrel being scraped in yet another pathetic attempt at journalism by the BBC.

I have read your links Chili, and they make interesting reading.
But none of then prove that Farage was late for his South Wales appointment because of immigrants, which was the point of my OP. Don't change the subject...if you want to discuss immigration, go ahead and start your own thread, but don't hi-jack mine !
For the last time, he was late because he didn't leave enough time, it was a Friday afternoon and there are road works on the M4.....nothing whatsoever to do with too many immigrants ! Don't you believe Boris then ? He is not a Labour supporter, like me but he thinks Farage has made a fool of himself as well.

I for one don't have to listen to Boris. I can see with my own eyes. Like it or like it not. Whenever I drive to Birmingham for the weekend to visit my father -in-law I observe in my mirror, and the surrounding drivers in the inevitable gridlock, the ethnicity of my fellow motorists. I call it seek the Seik. Well OVER 50% of vehicles travelling North on the M40 on a Friday afternoon/evening are driven by people of Asian origin. Likewise the return journey travelling South on the Sunday evening.I assume these Asians are leaving, dare I say, their "native" Hounslow and Ealing to visit friends/family in Leeds or Bradford and Birmingham. That is FACT. Try it mikey. You will not be able to deny I am telling the truth. What is more galling is the long stop/start queues caused by rubber kneckers at the scene of an RTA where inevitably there will be several cars on the hard shoulder with loads of Asian children running amok around the vehicles. I hopeI won't be accused of hi-jacking your thread by mentioning Asian immigrants but that is precisely what the debate I about in the first place. I can only agree with Nigel Farage that certain roads do seem to be over used by persons who do not look Anglo-Saxon.
retrocop -it is a long time since I have read anything so derogatory ,degrading and downright racist. You should be ashamed of yourself. Those 'Asians' you are seeing have probably been born here, not immigrants -and so *** what? As a UKIP supporter and benefactor I truly hope you are not one of our supporters.
That is not racist. What I am observing is actual fact. Do you think I would bother to make that up. I don't deny they were probably born in the UK and so was I but I do not have a light brown skin and wear a turban. They must of been born if immigrant families at some stage. The indigenous natives of the UK are white skinned believe it or not!!
I don't have an attitude to "these human beings"
You remind me of the time when the former Commissioner of Police,Sir Paul Condon, was asked by the Labour government that when he presents the annual Commissioners report would he,for the first time ever, give the ethnicity of the perpetrators and suspects. When the Race Codes were presented for muggings and rapes that year it happened that well over 50% were RC3 or black/dark skinned. That same government the next day screamed blue murder and said he was racist and called for his resignation.
Fact is fact retrochic so don't shoot the messenger.
