I'm really not that bothered about your opinion Andy, so you're not a Music Journo then? especially when I think you're not being honest. I've also mentioned Caran, Ummmm works in an Office, possibly Admin and the others as far as I know haven't mentioned careers, I didn't claim to know everyone only those who'd mentioned Careers.

Well now, that really isn’t true is it? No point being lofty with me and boasting about ‘knowing people’ when clearly you know nothing more than anyone else on here – myself included.

For the record, I am a music journalist – I am flattered that you have gone to the trouble to research me – why, God only knows, have you nothing better to do?
But to be accurate – music journalism is my hobby, I work for BT that is my occupation – any regular on here could tell you that.

Anyway, I have just finished a day’s fighting with one AB’er, I don’t intend to start another war with you, so hopefully you will think before being rude next time.

Togo...very very wrong. It's only that over the last few months it seems a group of AB users latches on to every word Andy says so threads are no longer about the OP but Andy constantly defending his stance/opinion.

I enjoy reading a good debate but when it's 5 plus people against 1 it starts to make uncomfortable reading especially when some seem to go out of their way to misunderstand the understandable.

I assure you I am not fighting either! I was just midly put out to be pulled up for being ‘out of touch’ simply because I didn’t know Sqad was retired – hardly a hanging offence is it?

My part-time job / hobby as a music journalist crops up because it is far more interesting that my office job with BT, but I mention both when points are pertinent – obviously music crops up more than office work!

So that was my reason for a little light-hearted joshing with Baldric – hopefully he is not going to try (and fail!) to turn into another tedious battle with me – there are those on here who seem to think that is a valuable use of their time, and devote considerable amounts of time and anger it, I have absolutely no idea why!!

Debate is the word umm. If we do not agree with a point do we say nothing until we feel the weight of argument is counter to what we think, rather than be judged as bullies by self appointed adjudicators?

I am being honest! I am never anything less than honest – ever.

I honestly had no idea of Sqad’s age, only that he was involved in the medical profession – I have no idea doing what. I had no idea that he was either retired, or living in Spain. I am sure he has mentioned these facts, and no doubt I have seen them, but they have not registered as important enough to be remembered.

You are reading far more into this than is there – I would not have a ‘dig’ at Sqad, why would I? He is far too thick-skinned to be bothered by anything I might say to him – we differ on many things, and have agreed such, but neither of us do ‘digs’.

And I am mystified why my post would be construed as a ‘dig’ anyway – I was being perfectly serious. I think Sqad’s attitude to this child abuse is appalling, he would expect me to say that, and he won’t care tuppence, and that is absolutely fine.

Hope we have cleared up that misunderstanding.
