Hot spots will occur depending on the make up in a given are, that is of course true.
What is disturbing as I said last night is the breaking up of society into 'us' and 'them' (whether they be people of a different racial background or the authorities).
When I see a shooting reported I see a waste of life and that in turn inevitably leads to further division.

I general think most people are ok but some (too many) let idiotic morons with extremist views lead them and they follow like sheep not really understanding why.

I think this picture might 'have legs', because like some other recent big stories, it tells a specific story.
There were no 'iconic' pictures which summarised the Orlando attacks, but the [i]was one from Paris (the pregnant woman trying to jump from the window of the concert venue).
I can see what is happening with this thread - everyone is putting their own particular spin on the picture, in order to declare where they stand. That's what (I believe) makes the picture important.
It's become a launchpad for discussion.
In the end, that's a very healthy thing.

Comparing her to Rosa Parks is spinning better than the wife's tumble dryer.
What does the name Jeronimo Yanez suggest to you, mikey?
I don't know why Jeronimo Yanez felt the need to shoot Philando Castile 4 times but if what I have read is true then I can understand why the officer was well ... twitchy for want of a better word.

Is obstructing the highway part of Civil Law or Criminal Law, in the USA?
(I would like to draw comparisons with "Civil disobedience" movements, of the past, suffragettes, Ghandi, etcetera but need the facts).
Basically *any* protest march blocks the road… for a time. If BLM gave 24hrs' notice (or whatever is required) of their protest and she is part of it (badged or not) then she has done nothing wrong.

I am not being patronising, just answering you peculiar earlier post.
The death of Philando Castile was the cause of all this. If the Policeman hadn't killed him in cold blood, the rioting probably wouldn't have happened.
To save you the trouble of looking this up, there is no doubt that the death of Castile was a homicide ::::::
"The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's office ruled Castile's death a homicide and said he had sustained multiple gunshot wounds"
As to your ludicrous remark about British Police, I can assure you if a British Policeman had acted in this way, like Officer Jeronimo Yanez, I would most certainly be debating it, and I suspect you would be as well.
