//If I can been refused by this person, I would have walked out and never returned. //
Why ? She is entitled to her believes and if aldi are happy to accommodate them who are you on anyone else on here to object to it!
So you can't buy your bottle of cheap plonk from that till - hardly going to die out of are you!!
Should never had been employed , too late now.

Muslims seem to want these jobs in a similar way to gays wanting to book a B and B, or have a cake made.
Careful Finny you are showing your true colours!
Islay
/// Careful Finny you are showing your true colours! ///

Why not, don't you constantly show yours?
Muslims are not the only religious sect that have problems with alcohol. What about all the Non-Conformists ? We have those in abundance here in Wales.

What about Vegans ? Should they be excused working on a Till that people will use who are buying meat ?
Oh AOG you following me again - admit it love you have a soft spot for me - do you need a hug you old right winger you!!
We should signal our virtue by continually making concessions to our Muslim friends.
After all, they're not likely to make further demands next week, next year, in ten years time, are they?
I am very much in favour of society respecting the religious faiths of its population, but I think the responsibility for that respects begins with the observer.

If your faith prevents you from touching a bottle of alcohol, surely your own respect for your faith, and yourself, ensures that you do not put yourself in a position where that may happen.

To put yourself in that position knowingly is to disrespect yourself, your faith, your colleagues, your customers, and your employer.

I would not be willing to employ someone who had such a low opinion of themselves, and a faith they are supposed to live by - it demonstrates an absence of morality.
I like the muslims, when I was a member of the ira (Before I was jailed and came clean to the gardai) we obviously dealt with many groups,ie, the russians, south americans, the aryans etc.. and as you can imagine when you're dealing with dangerous people like these then double crosses, murder were always a reality but with the muslims, were the most politest and gentle speaking of the lot and they always paid on time, always delivered the goods on time and if there were any problems they would always be apologetic and we never had to worry about being double crossed, ripped off by them.
Simple tactic....a few folks fill their trolleys with booze..get refused service and walk out leaving staff to replace items on shelves.Aldi managers will soon get the message.
Know what you mean Mickey, I felt the same when I was in the Mafia.
It's good to hear someone saying something different from the view that these Muslims are making fools of us and shouldn't be allowed to dictate on these things, but I'm not sure how it fits in with this thread, Finny or was it McFiinigan- i get all confused without tabbing back to check
I've suddenly developed a craving for Finnan haddie, hope I'm not pregnant.
If you've got nothing better to do Ryzen that's one way to spend your time. I'd rather just join the right queue.. But I have walked out and left stuff when the queues were unacceptable, but I didn't stop to check whether the Muslims were too blame. Poor service is poor service
I love the "I would have walked out and never came back!" attitude of some silly folks, most would just walk to another till, self serve or go elsewhere not walk out crying in a half cutting off your nose to spite your face, like aldi misses a few islamophobic cry babies.

If there's one thing that reallys grinds my goat it's religious, social class, racial and ageist intolerance.

Some folks need to buck up they do.
I can hear the Irish accent in my head, Mickey, as I read your posts

Odd thing to say for a member of the IRA
He's a changed man, so he is, Finny
I be changed I be... In a previous life I was a rotten egg but tings change a man they do.

I keep hearing this guy.
