18:24, What's a German Car Manufacturer got to do with it?
Its probably predictive text Baldric as mine has changed Aldi to Audi a few times.
I'll be worried when the self-service till refuses to let me purchase alcohol or other taboo products!
Staff under age are also not allowed to serve alcohol.
It does seem a bit odd, but as mamya says, I'd tend to move to another till and get on with my life :-)
I don't think it will lead to a breakdown in civilisation.
In N Ireland, selected tills in supermarkets do not serve alcohol - I've never worked out why that is (haven't we had this topic before? I remember saying exactly the same thing another time)
Some posts have suggested she is not fulfilling the terms of the role and should be sacked.
If she is refusing to carry out part of the agreed role then I'm sure they can got through the process and then dismiss her.
If it was agreed during the process, however, that her duties could be restricted for whatever reason then thats a different kettle of fish - it's a business decison Aldi made.
Does anyone know whether she refused post acceptance or pre acceptance?
^ the process =the job interview/offer process
Looking at the ad hoc piece of A4 on the end of the cashier till ... what do you honestly think, FF?
In Marrocky - an american pair said to me - can you order us a bottle of wine ?
and I said - supposing my arabic was the thing they prized - the waiters speak english ( buying veeno was not high on language y priorities in araby anyway )
and they said - no they wont serve alcohol to gurlz !

but were happy to serve me and I plonked the er plonk on their table .....

not a serving habit I would be anxious to introduce here
Talbot- I think they probably agreed to it, but I'm not sure if it was pre-interview/offer or after. So if they agreed it seems unlikley they would do what some now want which is to sack her, yet some strangely do call for that which seems odd and not thought through
God we have wasted enough breath on this today
time for a slug-ette of veeno
( sozza ladies - a sippette of a decent French Loire...)

slurpette then
o god supposing a jew said
o golly gosh I cant pass non-kosher good over the scanner ?

or someone in a cartlic relic shop -
I can sell you a bible - even Douai
but I cant do rosaries - I'm a protestant you see .....
and as for those flashing images of the Virgin ......
I would rather stick my fingers in the electric socket instead
The voice reason.

Your Answer...TALBOT, do you not think that had the employee not been adhering to the terms of her employment a supervisor would have removed that employee? Again, had the employee not been adhering why have Aldi defended the decision?

Regarding "the ad hoc piece of A4", what were you expecting, an illuminated manuscript?
do you not think that had the employee not been adhering to the terms of her employment a supervisor would have removed that employee?

Can a supervisor at Aldi remove an employee?
Sounds like your just saying stuff TCL.

're ..... of course
Would a supervisor not be responsible for saying when tills should be opened and who should be on them? If no, then whoever the appropriate person was, they would have asked or telt the employee to leave the till.
As I thought.
You thought? Well done!
Ha ha ... another one who thinks they are superior.
You don't think the responsible person, whether they are called a supervisor, team leader, deputy manager or manager, would not have the authority to ask or tell the person on the checkout to leave their till and have someone else take over?
