I fail to see how an examination at airports is feasible.It is logical to assume that the child will be travelling with a parent, and no parent of a child who has been subjected to FMG will allow that child to be examined.

That's as may be, but desperate times call for desperate measures and if we want to stop it we must stop ducking and diving around sensibilities and come down hard on it. I'd be willing to bet that if parents thought their children might be subjected to checks at airports they wouldn't be buying tickets to visit the cutters.

don't be ridiculous naomi, can you imagine it, Mrs and Mrs Smith going through with their 15 year old daughter. Dr Gawd knows who just needs to examine octavia's private parts before you board! So every port has to have a gentalia inspector on site at all times. If nothing else you'd kill travel for females and get accused of all sorts. Not practical, there is a better way but we are too timid to implement it.

I am all for doing anything to stop it- short of abusing children to make it easier for us. To start, life sentences for both parents if the child is under 18. No exceptions. Clearly these cases are being discovered, or we wouldn't be getting the statistics, and that's where to start. Punishment and education.
