If little ones go missing it is widely reported so it is very rare.

Naomi and Ummm are right. Whilst children do go missing, by far the highest age group are 15 to 17 year olds. It is so rare for a child of such tender years to go missing. Something like 94% of missing child cases are closed within 48 hours and 99% are closed within a year. You may not be aware but many police forces have a dedicated team who ONLY deal with missing persons. Even really old cases are reviewed from time to time because with new developments in technology they never know what new leads may happen.

Should more money be spent? All I can say is if it were my child, there could never be enough money spent on it.

We're not talking about 'globally'. This is Europe - and unlike some other places, in Europe if little children go missing we do our best to find them.

and virtually no one under 12 - less than one per cent
